The aquatics parent /teacher classes are amazing! We want our son to be safe in the water but also love it. The aquatics instructors are very knowledgeable and are able to adapt the class activities for the various abilities of each kid. Our son’s comfort in the water is improving in leaps and bounds and, most importantly, he ends up with a smile on his face.
I also love that classes provide the structure to be consistent about exposing your child to the water - without it and trying to juggle busy schedules, pool time could easily get overlooked.

Great yoga
Location and times
This place is going to change my life. Nice people working there, every machine I could
ever need, a great pool and hot tub. A great lobby to hang out in. Always clean and tidy.
Even a cup of coffee. I don't have kids, but the child care must make the difference for
many families. This is a very valuable community asset. I love this place already, and will
be a regular visitor for years to come. If anyone asks me what the heck I am doing because
I have changed, looking better in some way they can't figure out, I will tell them it is the
downtown Y. Some things almost seem too good to be true and this is one of them. Thank
you to everyone that makes this place happen. I am a big fan and a cheerleader for anyone
who will listen. I am going to download the Village People now, and sing their song...I know
I can't stay there, and I know it is coed, and I know it welcomes all...but the chorus is catchy.

I love the TownLake community! Child watch staff is so helpful and friendly. Music on Fridays in the lobby is welcoming and delightful. The group ex programming encompasses everything I love, from weights to Zumba, cycling, and gentle yoga. Every time I go, I see a friend. What a great place!

Elena and the Child Watch staff are the best! I don't know what my wife and I would do without them helping us with our kids and hosting Parents' Night Out every other week. They are a wonderful team.
I love the affordability of the monthly membership, the constancy of classes, and the quality of instruction. I also love knowing that on the rare months I don't get to the gym as often as I'd like, my membership fee is still going to a great organization that does wonderful things for my community.

I love my personal trainer Alicia. She is so knowledgeable, friendly and conscientious. I also have always loved the vibe of the Town Lake Y. It really feels like a community, and the Friday music is always fun. Plus it is great to be able to hit the Town Lake trail easily from there and wait out the big Austin traffic jams.
I love group fitness. I wish there were more core classes available. Maybe more CXWX?

There is so many different ways to exercise offered at the YMCA.
I love Kickboxing with Barbara, Barre and Zumba with Anson, Sat. Zumba with Crystal and Sunday Zumba with Phil.

During a recent out-of-town trip, I worked out at a neighborhood gym that's part of a national chain. The equipment and machines were dirty, the place was unkempt, and I never saw a staff person. It really made me appreciate, again, the cleanliness, structure, and staffing level of the Town Lake YMCA, where it's always a pleasure to work out.--Name removed
