Member Testimonials
I joined the Town Lake YMCA in 1971.
I was 28 at the time.
I am 82 now.
This place is like a second home.
I try to be there at least 2 days a week.
Thank you
Tim Trickey
Love the childcare options most of all. It has been a game changer for me to have a place my daughter truly LOVES to go, with such wonderful caretakers, all while I get a little time in the gym each morning before our regular day care starts.
I have also had some personal training sessions and they have been an incredible help as I get a bit more familiar with the machines and equipment in the gym.
Huge supporter of the Y and recommend the membership to all my friends.
Love the pool!
Love the size of the facility, the weight room, childcare, pretty much everything!
everyone seems to know what needs to be done
I really like the Yoga classes and the pickleball court times
Great staff (Friendly and helpful) , reliable and safe equipment, CLEAN FACILITY!
The facility is beautiful, and your yoga class with Sarah is great.
Great trainers, all the equipment you need for strength training, great dance classes. Warm and friendly folks who work and work out there.
There’s options and good time slots
Need more tai chi classes!
The hours , variety of classes!
So much fun!
The staff is always friendly, bathrooms are clean, variety of classes offered and pickleball schedules.
I like that there are broad business hours to accommodate different work schedules
just enrolled two weeks ago. Still learning about all your items. I go only three times a week.
Lots of options for different types of activities. Like that it caters to ALL ages and levels - infants to seniors - to disabled individuals.
Good facilities with a lot of indoor exercise options
Friendly staff, excellent personal trainers, lots of offers in classes, belongs to the Nationwide Y program, wonderful for travelers, and let us quit and rejoin when we are gone "snowbirds".
Not sure I love the expansion project....really don't need to keep up with the Jone's (Dallasites)
clean facilities with great exercise machines that are well maintained
Good staff, great location (we live 3 blocks away)
Good people; facilities are comprehensive; multiple session options; affordable
Mikey Calvillo is the best masters coach the town lake y has had in the last 10 years. I’m very surprised he wasn’t hired as aquatics director, but I imagine he’s found better paying options elsewhere. I rejoined masters just for his coaching and everyone on the team seems very happy with his superb knowledge of swimming and his level of commitment to the improvement of all team members.
Coach Mikey is the best!
Pool is pretty and teachers/coaches friendly
great teachers, nice atmosphere, clean facilities with enough equipment that waits aren't long, range of classes,
The great variety. The emphasis on different age groups.
The Y is my favorite gym. There are so many options for weight lifting and cardio. I love relaxing in the saunas and jacuzzi. Plenty of parking. Lots of space to sit and relax. There truly is so much to love about this gym!
I love the gym, the friendly staff and members! I look forward to taking advantage of the other programs!
I really like how friendly everyone is. I can be myself and enjoy myself without judgement.
Water aerobics
Especially good senior activities

I like the variety of classes. I like the every-body-welcome atmosphere. I like the multicultural, welcoming holiday decorations. I like that the Y is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the community, with a sliding scale for those who need it. I like that child care is offered.
