When my oldest started gr 5, he was behind in math. We started at Sylvan, and he lived it. They are so supportive and positive! He caught up and even started to reach ahead and was doing great 7 math by the end of the year! He loved it so much, his brother was jealous and started the math reach ahead program. They really focus on building confidence and are great at communicating their progress through the program. I honestly can't speak highly enough about this program and the people running it in Guelph, I recommend them all the time!!!

Cody's been really good for my family. He can manage several children, of various ages, keeping all engaged and productive. I send my two oldest there, and they get along well with Cody, and find him funny and motivating. I personally get along really well with Cody, as he helps me work around my work schedule as well as my children's schedules, which I find extremely valuable. The Findlay Sylvan center is welcoming and organized.
My grandson has been attending Sylvan Learning Center for almost a year now, and we can truly see a big difference in his reading skills and confidence.

While it is hard to get our son out the door to go to tutoring at Sylvan he always has a good experience there. His writing has consistently improved. The tutors make the time there fun and engaging.

My experience was the best! They communicated well. They showed me that they cared about my daughter’s success. They always helped me when I couldn’t log on to update the schedule. I would defiantly recommend them to any parent that has a child that needs a little extra help.
My daughter and son both love going, my son uses your homework help. And my daughter is in the full program. She began there in May 2026 and was a level 3 in reading and writing. We have done 2 hours a week since then and I am overjoyed by the results. Sylvan has her reading and writing at her grade level by middle of September 2026. The results were fast and I could see improvement almost immediately. I have told many people about sylvan and will continue too
Sylvan has made such a meaningful difference in my child’s life, not only academically but emotionally as well. Math had become an area where she struggled, and over time, those struggles began to affect her confidence. She started to doubt herself and believe that she simply wasn’t good at math.
Through Sylvan, she was given the individualized attention, patience, and encouragement she needed to truly understand the concepts rather than simply memorize how to get an answer. As her understanding improved, so did her confidence. She began approaching math with less frustration and more willingness to try, even when something was difficult.
One of the biggest changes we have seen is that she no longer defines herself by what she struggles with. She is learning that it’s okay not to know something right away and that with practice, patience, and the right support, she can figure it out. Watching her confidence come back has been just as rewarding as seeing her improve in math.
My child is making fast progress and learning a lot beyond the school curriculum. When it comes to scheduling and requests, Yousef is very easy to talk to and highly accommodating, and the same goes for the tutors.
