My daughter had been in Kumon tutoring for several years, but the repetitive daily homework that Kumon requires eventually became a negative force and made my daughter completely unhappy. Sylvan techniques are better for her now, with more one on one help versus homework. She is much happier now, and more excited about going to tutoring as well as she is asking for help which is a complete change from the past.
My son has been attending Sylvan for a few years and it's helped him out invaluably. It supports him in his studies and gives him confidence to get through each week at school. The tutors are all very knowledgeable in a variety of areas and very patient in their approach. They do a great job in supporting him and he looks forward to attending each week!

Sylvan of Park Ridge & Montvale, is a professional and safe environment. The location is clean, organized and it gives a “-my kid is in the right place-” feeling.
Managing staff as excellent. They are knowledgeable, quick to respond, willing to make accommodations for the students and their families. My senior had a good experience with Sylvan. She felt more prepared for the ACT. I really appreciated the flexibility offered as a teenager’s schedule can get hectic. I also liked the small group and individual attention offered for instruction. The best news is that her ACT score improved. I highly recommend the Hudson Sylvan !

My daughter enjoys her learning time at Sylvan. So far, we’ve seen her confidence and skill grow in math, and her motivation increase to keep herself organized and have a study amd review plan.
Sylvan's teachers are great and they are very helpful and kind.
Sylvan has done amazing work with my son and his reading. He is dyslexic and dysgraphic so reading and writing are very difficult and everyone at Sylvan has been wonderful with him and he is always excited to go and leaves with a smile.
My experience with them is amazing, they are working very closely with my son and both jafar and mo went above and beyond in the sessions.
