I love that everyone at the center really listens to us. I have a what some would call an attention problem child and they have really work with him to find HIS way of learning. He has gone from Kindergarten level for Reading to a 2-3 grade level. I love everyone that we work with and it’s a fun center to be at!

My name is Velisha Layne. Sylvan learning is a god sent to us and my daughter because it is really helping a lot. I like the fact that the teachers take time to help my daughter with any help she needs, and that preparation is in place for when my daughter goes to a higher grade. Since my daughter started sylvan learning, I have seen a difference in her writing, math skills and time she takes to get things done and she really love and appreciate all the teachers and there help. The staff have been pleasant since day one. My son enjoys going to Sylvan. The communication is great and I have seen my son make progress these past few months.
My son has been coming here for a few months now and the tutors my son have, have been helping him tremendously. And everyone is so nice there.
My son has been at Sylvan for close to two years. From East Brunswick to Edison. He was way behind his grade level and needed more support to get to his grade level. Even though he is still not at grade level, he has really improved and proved that he has the potential and just needs someone to push and encourage him. Sylvan works with you as the parent to create a plan to follow depending on the needs of the child.

Customer service and tutoring from the teachers (Amanda) is amazing. I truly wish my grandson could go more than one day a week. However due to his living situation this is the only time available for us. He hasn’t improved as fast as we would have liked him to, nevertheless he is improving. The director Angela is professional and courteous and always willing to listen and assist in any way she can with our questions and concerns about my grandson.
Angela and her team have been great with Carter. He is truly blossoming and coming out of his shell. He is doing so well, we have added new programs to help in additional areas as well.

As foster parents of older kids, we find trauma often has a detrimental impact on a child's education. Over the years, we've had 4 different kids attend Sylvan consistently. The progress they've made goes beyond grades. Some have learned to read, others have caught up on math skills they were lacking, but the best part is their new attitudes toward school and recognizing the importance of education. When they have some success at Sylvan, they can walk into a class room with their head held a little higher.
The staff is very professional. My daughter loves coming every week to get the help that she needs.
