I see positive results in my student’s academic performance with Sylvan’s tutoring sessions. The location at San Francisco’s West Portal district is very well organized and professional. My requests and inquiries are always answered promptly. Parents or guardians also have a monthly online session with a counselor to evaluate the student’s progress.
My daughter was against sylvan when we first started. Now she loves the help she receives.
Our son has been with Sylvan for about 3-4 months now. He is in 10th grade and has been struggling with geometry since the beginning of this school year.
Since beginning his tutoring sessions with Sylvan 2x/week, he has shown steady progress and improved grades; not 100% yet, but he was already failing this subject when we started tutoring, and he is now getting passing grades, so he’s definitely on the right track now, and I give Sylvan a lot of the credit for this!
We started Sylvan and within the first 30 days we have seen substantial growth in our 1st and 3rd grader. Teachers have reached out to share that this is the best our daughter has read and our son went from 30% percentile in his math to 70% percentile.

My granddaughter have been going to Sylvan for 2 years. They are great. The staff worked with her, boost her reading grade level and her Math. I appreciate the staff so much. They gave me hope knowing how they got my granddaughter caught up to her grade level. My granddaughter love it there. They even showed support at meetings with her school to discuss her grades on subjects she was having trouble with. SYLVAN IS THE BEST!!

The practice SAT test really allowed our daughter to know which areas she should concentrate on rather than studying all of the SAT content. The tutors, printed materials, and online content have all been very helpful.
Our child loves going to his sessions and he has gotten back to his old self academically. Very happy

Sylvan is a great place to bring your kids. They offer very competitive pricing, and their teachers are patient, supportive, and truly dedicated to helping children learn. My kids feel comfortable there and have learned a lot. The atmosphere is welcoming and gives them a strong sense of security. Sylvan also helps build children’s self-esteem by encouraging them to push their limits and go beyond what they thought they could do. As a result, the kids feel proud of their accomplishments.
Sylvan has been instrumental in the improvement of my son's reading skills. He looks forward to going every week, and has learned so much in a few short months. It was absolutely the right decision!

You guys did wonders for my son, Justus. He’s on grade level in Reading and Math. He’s working on writing. I know he wouldn’t be this far along if we kept him in traditional school, and we didn’t have Sylvan.
My daughter loves her teachers and looks forward to the lessons. The point shopping in the end is also fun. It is easy to move slots around which is a big plus.
We have been very happy with our daughter's ACT prep course so far, she is engaged and willing to attend the classes. We look forward to seeing how this has prepared her for the test and will have more feedback at that time.
