We had a pretty desperate need - my granddaughter was failing high school chemistry. Nida arranged for home work help chemistry tutors for her, and her grades went up. She reported to us that the tutors were very helpful. We asked for a two hour session on the Saturday before her mid term exam in December, and she got a passing grade! My granddaughter has learning disabilities - dyslexia and ADHD. We were very thankful for the help of Sylvan's tutors, and have signed up for tutoring for her spring semester of high school chemistry.

We enrolled our son at Sylvan Learning Center during a time when he truly needed extra support. After changing schools, his new school’s reading assessment showed he was already a couple of months behind. As the months went on, he fell even further behind—not because he didn’t understand the material, but because in second grade he was suddenly expected to read independently and fully comprehend what he read.
By the end of the first semester, he earned a B in ELA, but when the second semester started with grades of 58 and 65, I knew he was really struggling and needed help. That’s when we turned to Sylvan.
Within just a few weeks, we noticed a significant difference. His reading fluency, writing, and ELA assessment scores improved dramatically—jumping into the mid-80s, 90s, and even high 90s (85, 95, 96, 92). He finished the semester with a B, and I truly believe that if he continues at Sylvan, he will earn As in the next two semesters.
Even more important than the grades, his confidence has returned. He loves school again. He actually looks forward to going to Sylvan and learning, and now he even tries to teach his 4-year-old sister how to read. Seeing that excitement and self-belief come back has meant everything to us.
We are so grateful to Ms. Kristen and all the teachers of Sylvan Learning Center for not only helping our son academically, but for helping him rediscover his love for learning.

The long and short of the news, my daughters were struggling in certain subjects in school. During their time with Sylvan, their teachers have independently commented in their progress, reports how their confidence has skyrocketed in class. They’ve been with so long enough now that they are getting help with homework or school assignments. It’s been very successful in helping them to continue begin to enjoy school.
Christian is willing to go and doing good. I appreciate what y’all are doing for him.

I had a wonderful experience with my daughter in Grade 1 taking lessons at Sylvan. The lessons were engaging, well‑structured, and helped build confidence in reading and communication. The tutor created a supportive environment that made learning enjoyable and effective. I truly appreciate the dedication and quality of teaching provided, especially detailed report and parent teacher discussions at the end of 4-6 weeks. It gives confidence in the progresss being monitored well and tracked in the system. Looking ahead, I am excited for the introduction of math word problems, as I believe my child will further strengthen problem‑solving skills while reading Math word problems. Her English comprehension reading level has improved so much and I love her confidence in challenging Sight word learning :)
