As previously mentioned, I am a bit hyper critical of medical personnel. I have had no problems with any of my visits at JOI. The staff are helpful, professional and easy to speak with. I like the docs and that they will try and treat medically before any kind of surgery. (as other orthopedic docs in the area, jump at the chance to do surgery). With that said, I would recommend JOI for orthopedics. JM

I'm one happy camper! The last quack doctor I saw 6 years ago said my slowly developing hip pain indicated I'd need replacement surgery in the near future. Since then the pain had worsened til I was willing to do anything to get relief. My new GP referred me to Dr. Hastings at JOI. He looked at my x-rays, explained to me what he saw & said all I needed was a cortisone shot to relieve the pain from a bursitis. Other than average arthritis for my age nothing is wrong with the joint. 15 minutes later I left his office completely pain free for the 1st time in years (well, at least in my hip). He said sometimes it's a permanent fix, but should at the very least last 4-6 months. I call him for another shot if & when the discomfort returns. Thank you, thank you. THANK YOU, Dr. Hastings.
