I want to express my deepest gratitude to Dr Picerno who was the surgeon that took care of my 92 mom who unfortunately fractured her hip. **The JOI San Marco office is an excellent location, offering onsite rehab and serving as a key part of my medical team alongside the doctors and staff at Baptist Hospital. Dr. Pujadas was well-informed and showed genuine concern about what he observed in my X-rays. While I was already aware—through an MRI and multiple X-rays—that arthritis had taken over my right leg, there was still more to consider.
This year alone, I’ve experienced three blood clots in 2025, and my hematologist at Baptist MD Anderson has been working to determine the root cause. Since December 2008, I’ve had four additional blood clots, bringing the total to seven. Staying vigilant about my body’s warning signs is essential, and having Baptist’s expertise has been lifesaving. Returning to Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute was undoubtedly the right decision for my ongoing care.**
