The pros for the Deerfield studio:
1. The studio is located less than 1 mile from my home.
2. The studio, lobby, and men's locker room area are all kept clean
3. CPY TT turns out mediocre instructors. It is a factual opinion, one drawn from my over 900+ classes taken at CPY studios since 2017.
Not a big deal for me, due to owning my practice / workout. In fact, if there was an AI instructor leading HPF, I would welcome it, particularly if an AI instructor would reduce costs associated with CPY paying a human instructor. And, no, virtual classes don't appeal to me, as the brick & mortar studio is the main reason why I permit CPY to debit my credit card monthly.
However, an AI instructor would never happen at any CPY studio, as TT is a much too lucratively profitable revenue stream. CPY would never create a situation in which AI would compete with instructors who continue to pay thousands of dollars to earn a CPY TT accreditation,. At least not in the foreseeable future.
Now, why mediocre instructors are an advantage for the Deerfield studio:
I don't have to waste time and gas to attend Winnetka, Old Orchard, and Glenview studios. All I have to do is schedule Deerfield classes in advance when I take an HPF or Strength X class. If the instructor is a non factor, why travel to take a class?
I've only come to this realization recently and have just begun to implement this new plan last week and will continue to do so moving forward.
BTW, there is one (1) Deerfield instructor of whom I rate highly, that being Georgina, who leads the Strength X class on Sunday afternoons. Lousy time for me, but try to work that class into my weekend schedule when possible.
Variety in class times
This last class I felt like the floor was really dirty in the studio but still had a great class. :(
