Hello Corepower,

I attend the Stapleton location, however, I was not able to find the location in your drop-down options. This message is specifically for the Stapleton location.

I want to start off by saying that Corepower and specifically the Stapleton studio has bettered my life. Since I started attending C1-C2 classes I have more strength, confidence, and balance and I am forever grateful for the community. Teachers like Trang, Danielle, Alex, Stacia, and Leslie (now unfortunately gone) have given me the drive and self-compassion that has not only helped my practice but has given me skills for my day-to-day.

I prefer C1, C1.5, C2 classes because they focus on a holistic approach to yoga which includes intent on the breath to body connection, balance, and mental and physical fortitude. My practice does not usually include Sculp classes because I desire more purpose and breath versus physical excursion. I have recently been to a specific teachers C1.5 class a few times now and I would very much like to attempt to provide constructive criticism that will hopefully aid in a more solid and peaceful class. Although I have zero doubts that Miranda is an excellent Yoga Sculp teacher, I would challenge her to re-evaluate her C1.5 class. In its current state, the Wednesday C1.5 class is a bit frantic. She has mentioned that she teaches Sculp before she teaches the C1.5 class and it is very apparent from the music (loud and beat-heavy) to the fast pace nature of the class. As mentioned above, I believe the true beauty of a C1,1.5 and 2 classes are about being lead into a space that supports the breath to body connection, and purposeful flow. Miranda seems to still be in the Sculp mindset of driving forward, hitting the moves, and keeping it upbeat. Some of these attributes are positive, however, as you look around the class it seems that most people are struggling to figure out what the next step is. Also, we haven't been given the full amount of time to finish a length of breath to complete poses before she is on to the next pose. Furthermore, we are asked to move to poses without a clear path to that pose. Trang and Danielle are masters at guiding the class WITH breath through the poses instead of just hitting the poses.

I would advise Miranda to take her colleagues' classes and really listen to how they purposefully start the class with intention, allow us to settle into unified breath and body movements, read the room, and speak with softness and presentness. I believe she needs to find a way to take a moment after Sculpt class, transition to a very different kind of class, and prepare to guide with balance and breath.

Leslie once said something to the effect that the start of class is when you settle into the present moment, tap into her intention and breath, and begin to trust the guidance of your instructor to keep you safe, active, and grounded. We are all most likely a bit frantic, anxious, and/or stuck in our heads before we come to our mat. I believe it is the task of the instructor to welcome you to the space and prepare your mental and physical to be present, confident, and strong. The music and beginning speech/story/quote/intention are a way to bring us out of our day-to-day and embrace us in the community and safety of yoga. Although each instructor's start and approach is different, this moment is vital for us to begin to be grounded.

I truly hope that my comments are seen as coming from the heart and true belief in the whole Stapleton studio. I would love to trust that each class is unique and every instructor is focused on making the class mean something to the students. In most part, this is absolutely true. If you want to sweat and exert yourself, you can do that at any gym, however, to me Corepower Stapleton is more than just a workout. It is a safe environment with an invested community and instructors that care. I'm truly thankful to Corepower Stapleton and I hope that it continues to improve and flourish.

Most Teachers offer substantial reflections at beginning of class and most take the time to learn individual names, which makes one feel valued. I've attended classes at CPY CO blvd for the 4 years I've lived in Denver and really like the sense of community and welcoming atmosphere.

I learn new things from different teachers all the time. I feel restored and renewed after every class. I always look forward to getting back into the hot studio and shredding!

I love this studio, ample parking and super friendly and engaging instructors. The locker rooms are kept up, however I do wish that the showers we're cleaned more often. There is always other people's hair all over and it just grosses me out.

Enjoyed the instructors and the flow of the C2 classes I took.

I absolutely love practicing yoga at CorePower!! All of the instructors are highly trained, creative and extremely knowledgeable.
