To any parent that has a son or daughter struggling in a subject or two, don't wait to get outside help. My daughter was failing Geometry and Chemistry. Her school offered "study help" but my daughter said she didn't understand the teacher's instruction, she was still lost and kind of gave up.
She felt comfortable at Sylvan and she said it helped her to understand what she originally couldn't understand at school.
She started with little or no understanding of Chemistry and got an F the 1st quarter. With a looming F in the 2nd quarter and only 4 weeks to catch up, she started tutoring at Sylvan Learning Center and she was able to get a C on her Final Exam. I wish we had started Sylvan Learning Center sooner because she ended up NOT passing Chemistry this semester because of all the missing assignments. There was not enough time to complete all the past work and all the current work, and it would have saved her grade if we had started Sylvan sooner.
Sylvan also tutored my daughter in Geometry at the same time, and she was able to get a B- on her Final Exam and passed the semester.

The Lego robotics experience was okay but for what my child did, it was very overpriced. For less than the price of this 6-week program, my son can have 4 months (1x/week) of most after-school programs at his private school.
Friendly service and very informative about all programs that are offered. They design a program for success for each child. They really do care & our children are comfortable with each tutor which gives us, as parents, a sense of ease & reassurance that our children are getting help in the best way at Sylvan of Kahala.
The transistion time.
Small robotics class - not overwhelming. Cool projects. Like the worksheet that helps summarize what the kids learned.
My daughter Tiffany loves Robotics and today brought her friend Charlie from her second grade class to check it out. She loves to build and she is happy going and feels so proud when she accomplishes her builds.

I find the flexibility of scheduling very convenient and helpful. The instructors provide a very positive environment for learning and in the process, they have influenced and supported our granddaughter's confidence and self esteem. This has resulted in better grades and a happy student. Sylvan, thank you for your continued support.

Kept my son interested and engaged
The friendly, helpful service from Chelsea. She has answered every question in detail and got back to us with anything we asked. In earlier sessions of tutoring, our grandson improved a great deal in reading.

The environment at the Kahala Sylvan center is focused on education, and everyone is approachable.
The owner and tutors are very nice and the atmosphere is very friendly and encouraging. My daughter enjoys learning a lot. She always leaves s a class with a big smile which is a good sign.

Our son enjoys working with the tutors, he show more understanding in the math and reading material he is given. He started at the end of the school year, and the reinforcement has helped him gain confidence in asking for help on both subjects and end the year on a higher note. We are very happy with SYLVAN, we should have inquired sooner!
