Being retired, the Y is a great place to stay in shape, enabling me to enjoy my life and being able to do things as I age.
I also have met countless great people in over the 50 years I have been a member.
The Glenwood Y is a large part of my everyday life, as I do visit each day.
I also have been a member of an Advisory board and have volunteered for about 10 years doing painting projects around the building.

I like the design and layout of the facility. It is clean and well maintained. The Y also offers several interesting activities and classes.

The good weight machines
I find the staff to be very pleasant. the morning staff members greet members by name and always wish is a good day when we leave. The staff take time to dust and clean, you can always see someone vacuuming, dusting, or wiping down the facility.

I love going for exercize mostly, I like walking and using the equipment, everyone is friendly. I even got a membership for my granddaughter and she likes to swim in the pool and hang out with me.
Especially pleased with water aerobics classes. The instructor are both mindful and skilled. I’m hoping we can get the necessary repairs done to reopen the outdoor pool.
To that end, I have been a successful grant writer and would be happy to be part of a granting team as a volunteer. I’ve been able to secure funding in health care on a federal, state and local level.

Family friendly atmosphere, clean and well equipped!
The location and parking are convenient. The facility is always clean. The reason I gave a 9 is because the front desk employees must all be new because they are flustered, not knowledgeable about senior membership programs, offered classes nor computer input. As a lifelong member who recently rejoined I was saddened by the lack of yoga, guided imagery and other holistic room options.
Free towels and friendly staff. As well as swimming lessons offered.
Equipment is maintained well and great staff support
All the staff members are great. They help whenever help is needed.

Exercise in the pool!
I have grandkids so we enjoy Camp Sherwin. The girls are getting swim lessons so we also enjoy the pool there and at Glenwood.

Availability of pools and sauna
Being greeted on entering the YMCA. The variety of gym equipment which include the new treadmills at the Glenwood YMCA.
