I recently installed the Rough Country cold air intake, struts, and lower control arms on my truck, and overall I’m very happy with everything. The install process was smooth for the most part, the parts fit well, and the truck feels great afterward. Ride quality and performance both noticeably improved, and the products feel solid and well made.
One small suggestion for the cold air intake kit would be the hose clamp design on the intake tube. During installation, once I tightened the clamp, it was difficult to loosen and readjust afterward. It may help to use a slightly different style clamp or strap for easier adjustment during install.
Another minor recommendation would be to include small hose clamps for the rubber breather hose that connects to the valve cover. The hose fit, but it could slip off with a light pull, so adding a small clamp would give a little extra peace of mind during installation.
Other than those small details, I’m very satisfied with the products and would definitely recommend Rough Country to others looking to upgrade their truck.
