I live close close by on Cambridge Drive, so it’s only a mile away! I enjoy classes & instructors but it’s hard to get into classes! Bummer! Today I was able to sign up for 9:30 class ( Denise les Mills Tone) at 7:15 am as there were 3 slots, yesterday there were none!
I enjoy spin, but some instructors are hard to sign up for like Kris on Friday 9:30 and Saturday 9:30. Fridays, I just started going to Summit - Lori instead!
I would like it better if rowing machines got some maintenance! Only 2 machines on site and they need oil & maintenance! They get a lot of use!

The staff in Summit, New Jersey, are friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The people are wonderful, and it is also a great place to work out. It is clean and well-maintained.
I am very disappointed with app. It has been an issue too often and we should be able to access the app on phones. I understand that it is a global issue but maybe we need different option. I have spent too much time playing with the app.
There is something for everyone there! Always clean and the staff is always friendly and helpful!
Seeing cross-section of local community, both young, old. For me, very close, less than 10 minute drive and close to Summit library, which I go to before or after workout
I like the wide variety of programs and for anyone interested in that I recommend the Y most strongly. But some of my friends are more focused on one exercise (or don't live in Berkeley Heights) and so would not be interested.

Fix the APP! Signing up for a class is now awkward, especially the 'filters' not working as expected to find classes by name. The app was much better prior to a couple weeks ago.
And www.thesay.org website isn't much better. Same awkward issues with class filtering.
Summit YMCA has something to offer to the entire family. We love the classes offered, great instructors, gym floor has good equipment. Special mention for the SAY swim team which nurtures a team spirit in the swimmers helping them love the sport.
I just recommended the y a friend who moved to town.
