Nice friendly hometown gym.
Most people are very friendly and a non intimidating gym. Accommodates seniors really well too.
( I am one now, Yikes!) Pool is great in season too!
Sometimes it's hard to find a good spot when I'm going heavy on the bench. Really important because when pushing limits, maximum strength really only can be attempted once during a overload max rep. Not all of the staff knows how to do that properly. I used to be a trainer. I can help with that if you'd like.
Love the classes I have taken and the instructors. Love the sauna. Wish there were more classes offered. When one is cancelled or full, there are often no alternatives that day. Especially for spin.
Pleasant, friendly staff. Good equipment.
Lots of free parking
New facilities, clean, many classes, cost.
Many courses are open to learn various activities. I chose more than 3 aquatic exercises past 2 weeks. I really learned a lot and improve my healthy condition.

Everything is clean!
It is a convenient location, it is populated by locals in my community, there are many programs and diversive activities are avalable - including two swimming pools and access to other local YMCAs.
Instructors!
Everyone is very friendly and Cora's gentle yoga class is amazing!
I like a lot; I don’t like that there are not enough Pilates classes.
Great people, staff and members. Awesome Group X instructors and personal trainers. Not to mention how much the Y does for families and individuals in need in our community

Staff is welcoming & courteous. Classes are varied & instructors are competent
I love everything about the Summit Area Y. There are a fantastic selection of classes. The staff is courteous and helpful and the building is always clean! I feel like I’m with good friends.
It’s a great place to work out
I understand that the reciprocal use of SAY and Madison Y is getting restricted to 4 times a month, and then a $20 charge per use after that. It would be nice if it would be considered to somehow alleviate this for group sports, like pick-up basketball, where more people are needed for consistent competition. I understand that this policy will help keep equipment use from being limited by too many people competing for it - but I don't believe this would be the case at this point for pick-up basketball. Just a kind request to consider this waiver for pickup basketball, and possibly other group or competition related activities where the policy will hinder the activity. Thank you!
The pools. I have been a member for many years and it is a comfort level. Pool, sauna, and staff have always met my needs. It has been a second home.
I like the parking because I am handicapped and find it easy to park and get to programs there
Love the PB and working out!
Great facilities, friendly staff, great variety of classes, convenient class schedules, easy reservation system,...
Love the classes and the building is very clean.
Great instructors. You need more trampolines for classes.you also need more Pilates and barre classes. Always fill Witt waiting lists.

I like the variety of offerings from the fitness classes to pickle ball to Mah Jong. I like the members and the staff... all with different backgrounds, different ages, different personalities... all with interesting stories. There isn't a day when I am at the Y and I pass by someone I know who doesn't greet me with a big smile. It seems everyone enjoys being there.
