The YMCA is a big part of my life. I love Answorth Line Dance and Zumba classes. Also, the YMCA has some excellent exercise equipment. The staff and instructors are excellent.

However we live in Midtown and have just decided to try other Y's in metro area 1/mon.
Members and attend Crosstown 3x weekly, and used to be members downtown.

It’s my little community! Everyone is so sweet and helpful. They always say hello to me when I come in and when I leave. They have everything I’m looking for in a workout facility. Great job Nuber!

We go at 5 a.m. and are always greeted by those checking us in. We also have made casual friends with a number of the people who regularly come at that time.

We love the Y. I do think the membership for a couple is a bit expensive.
I have to tell you that every instructor I have had in every class I have done is so very good and enthusiastic about what they do.
Jessica the aqua zumba teacher is absolutely fabulous!! She makes me want to go to class and works so hard for her students. She is incredible and seems to absolutely love teaching!

What did you like about your Y experience?

I love Ric Nuber YMCA so much! My mom and I joined back in late September and since then I have lost a little over 50 pounds! My quality of life has changed tremendously and I’m not done yet! I don’t accredit all of my success to Ric Nuber YMCA, as I changed my dietary habits and started medication, however, it has been a huge part of my health and fitness journey. I went from being a person who wouldn’t be caught dead near a gym to being a literal gym rat. I am there almost every day of the week, and when I started out, I had a ton of questions, and I still have an occasional one! The staff at Ric Nuber are PHENOMENAL and will always do their best to help me and answer my questions. They are NEVER condescending and they have always made us feel so welcome and like we belonged, and that is so very important, especially in the beginning of this journey. Showing up at a gym at 200+ pounds/any weight is extremely intimidating when you’re new to it. The staff at Ric Nuber have always made sure we feel supported and encouraged. The regular interactions with the front desk staff make me feel safe and confident enough to share progress pictures and milestones from my journey with them. I am forever thankful for the Ric Nuber YMCA staff for the impact they have had and will continue to have on my life.
