I was a REX member and the Wakefield location closed. I joined the Kerr YMCA and the transition has been welcoming. Every employee that my husband and I encountered were courteous and professional. The instructors are awesome and dedicated to ensuring that all participants get a meaningful workout.
The staff communicated very respectfully with me about my child’s struggles. They provided me with many different options to help my child, and I felt like they are committed to providing a positive camp experience for all children regardless of disability.
Builds character, provides opportunities to all kids, loving, technology free, fun/engaging experiences and games for kids during camp. Counselors are great and get to know your child.

My grandson didn’t like it the first day but from the second day on, he loved it. He’s having a great time.

Thrive classes
The staff is friendly and professional. I love the childcare option and the ladies who care for my daughter are so wonderful and loving! I enjoy the variety of classes offered and the easy app to use and register for classes. I enjoy the outdoor swimming pool and the sauna!

The instructors are kind,knowledgeable and always have smiles on their faces.
You do need more swim classes for older attendees. Too many times I hear and have experienced not able to get into classes. Also the chair exercises are hard to get into.
All employees seem helpful and happy.
We have been incredibly impressed with our experience at the Kerr YMCA this summer. We had originally planned to do half the summer there and half somewhere else but after our experience we decided to stay all summer. My anxious kiddo has always struggled with camps and has been thrilled to go to the Y everyday this summer. The counselors have been so kind and done a wonderful job making sure that my son feels seen and safe. Specifically, the counselors of the caterpillars and bear claws! Coastline, Frizzle, Gum Ball…to name a few.. thank you for this experience.
While I wish that you had a hot tub-really there is nothing to criticize. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the facility is well run
The staff was amazing. My son was nervous to start and by this time, he’s made friends with every counselor and kid. They are so kind to him and always respectful to me. The activities have been wonderful and he looks forward to going every day.
