Kerr Family YMCA have at least 4 to 5 machines for upper body (bicep, tricep, row, pull down, chest, 1 more) and lower body strengthening. This location has tea and coffee. All of the YMCA fitness gyms should be well equipped like Alexander and Kerr.
I visited the downtown Durham location a few days ago. It's absolutely not well equipped? The Durham location only have maybe 2 upper body machines? There's no tea or coffee. I drink decaffeinated tea/ herbal tea.

The classes - the instructors and variety. Top notch.
clean facility, love the sauna, friendly people, access to variety of equipment. LOVE the new space for individual weight lifting that's not in the middle of the hub bub!
Friendly staff, clean and well maintained gym. Very good communication about events, closing times due to holidays and severe weather, etc.
