The staff are so friendly, the choice of classes is amazing and the facility is so clean!
Classes
The pool is well maintained, convenient and there’s almost always a lane open during the time I swim.
I am disappointed in the membership monthly increase starting in January 2026. 9% increase is a bit to much considering I’m a retired senior on fixed income. Previous annual increases were nominal but not anything like 9%. This may cause me to search another venue to swim at like the city of Raleigh which is much less.

I love the Thrive Group Sessions. All the Thrive instructors are wonderful! The Thrive sessions have helped me tremendously with movement and strength training.

I love the Banks D Kerr YMCA. The group fitness classes are amazing! The staff are courteous and welcoming. And there’s always friendly faces making it easy to make new friends.
Everything. The facilities, the staff and the ample programs that the Y makes available. It not only has enabled me to keep in shape but it is a significant part of my social environment which is very important to a senior such as myself. The staff is very friendly and open to suggestions for improvements or situations that require attention.

It’s friendly atmosphere and environment, the staff is extremely friendly and smiling all the time. It’s a nice place to spend time in. My time is predominantly spent four days a week in Zumba and other times in the pool. I love it there.
