My 11 year old twins really enjoyed the new Chatham Park YMCA pool and their interactions with the counselors. They also liked meeting new friends and seeing old ones from previous years.
I like how organized everything is. I really appreciate all of the communications that go out regarding camp - the emails before each week and before the beginning of the month when payments will hit. I also appreciate the communication when emergencies happen - like if camp will need to be closed for any reason.
My child has enjoyed swimming 4 days a week this year.
It is everything a person could ask for in a fitness facility. To me, it is visionary and intended to meet the needs of a rapidly growing community into the future. It is a great place to workout, socialize, learn new skills, and play with my grandchildren.
We love our camp and after school programs!

We moved our granddaughter from another local summer camp program and she LOVED her time at the YMCA. The program and activities were very organized and provided her a great experience!!
It's affordable, it's safe, I know my kid is cared for and about, and he's kept busy all day

I love how it is clean and bright and uplifting and sunny and beautiful. I love the pool aerobics classes and I do the weight machines. I am sorry that the pool aerobics will end sometime in October. When will they start up again?
So far the teachers for the classes I have taken have been so welcoming and kind. They were excellent leaders with clear instruction. Being new to yoga I was thrilled to discover that I could actually follow along. So thankful for the great variety of classes and each instructor!
Enjoyed learning to play pickleball! Indoor court time should be limited though. We waited an hour and a half for the same group to finish.
The location is near by. The instructors are very good.

The hours, location, and price are great for working parents. My kiddos also loved being bussed to the local pool M-Th.
The staff make me feel welcome. I was given a tour of the facility by Patrick. Wow the walk thru was informative an inviting. I joined that day. I am 69 years mature and have never been a member of the Y. I took a swim on 7/24/25. I hadn't swam in over 5 years. I loved the pools and outside setting.

Caring staff, fun for kids, affordable
This camp keeps my son active and he has a lot of fun all day.
This is my daughter’s first year at the camp and I am VERY impress at how the camp is ran. She has stated she has done so much crafts and other things that she is looking forward to coming back next year!
The pick up and drop off at Horton Middle can be improved. For example, if the parent at the front of the line is waiting for their child, but the children in the cars behind have already loaded up, the car at the front of the line should be directed to pull forward along the curb so the other cars can exit.
Also, our son would like to have more free time play, for simply kicking a soccer ball, playing catch, or playing basketball. More outside play during rides in or something else to do for the kids to get there early. Also, more time on the soccer field would be nice.
You really enjoyed the crafts (made bracelets, paper plate crafts, rock painting). He also enjoyed the board games but wishes there was a chess board.
Overall, he enjoys going to YMCA day camp and swimming so much during the day.
Currently, I cannot do the classes due to having hip surgery. I love the strength classes and pilates classes, but I wish they would have more time options for those of us who work outside the home. A lot of the classes I love are at 9ish which I cannot attend. Have not gotten to use the pool (again, hip surgery), but it looks lovely. Staff are great. I just wish they had put in saunas in the locker rooms like the other newer Y's. The Cary YMCA did it perfectly as far as saunas go!
