The people who work there are friendly and helpful. The facility has a well thought out organization, which makes moving between the equipment easy. The classes are wonderful and provide something for everyone.

I love the the YMCA feels so community focused, supportive and positive. The environment is clean with what appears to be happy and welcoming employees. I love the instructors; they give it their all and really make the classroom experience worthwhile.

The Y has something for everyone
Well maintained equipment, with good spacing in-between equipment. Clean facility. Helpful/friendly/responsive staff. Open almost all the time.
I really enjoy the group fitness classes that I take...my favorites are Stacey's step, Jenn's gentle yoga, Matt's Bodypump, and JJ's flow yoga. Group fitness classes are also a great way to meet people.

Love the friendly warm atmosphere and staff, as well as the top notice facilities!
I am happy with the equipment and facilities. Have not tried any classes yet. The pool schedule is a bit confusing (at least, I find it hard to interpret...seems like a portion of the pool is free for non-lap swimming sometimes but I'm not sure when).
We love the people and the classes! The kindest people are all at the YMCA!

The diversity of the people using the Y facilities makes me confident that the Y is practicing one of the things it preaches—to be open to the whole community. Besides that, I like the programming and the good maintenance of the facility. Kudos to the whole team!

The Alexander Family YMCA is the Y to which I compare all other YMCA facilities and experiences. It is outstanding. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and never fails to make me feel welcome. The locker rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and clean. The pool (I mostly swim) is clean, well-staffed and a pleasure to use.
If anything, a bit more light in the pool area.
But, I love the Alexander Family Y and only wish it were closer to where I live (Apex) so that I could make it my permanent Y home.
The location and facilities offered! Front desk staff are always friendly and helpful. The only thing I’d take a point off for is having to hunt for a parking spot with other cars circling around the lots.
