The exercise equipment and pickleball
It's a nice people there and nice equipment and planning to choose from especially the swimming pool in the treadmill and ellipticals and the weights the machines steam room I like the whole place it's a nice atmosphere to work out in

Community support and the building of relationships are key for the Y … keep the smiling faces employed in the building and beyond. They are contagious.
We attended a sit and fit class with Joann our first day and really enjoyed it. The attendant that signed us up and gave our tour was very helpful as well.

I truly enjoy everything about the Sampson County YMCA. I love the classes and feel encouraged by every instructor. However, I believe that to continue growing and attracting more members, there is room for expansion—more classes, more community involvement, and more advertising.
For example, there is currently only one class offered on Saturdays, even though Saturdays are when many people are off work and more able to participate. Adding an additional Saturday afternoon class could really benefit members. There is also a need for activities for the “tween” age group (10–13). Although they are still included in child watch, there are currently no activities designed specifically for them.
I understand that staffing limitations make it difficult to meet every need. However, I do believe that if more positions were made available, there are qualified individuals in the community who would gladly fill them.
With all that said, I fully believe in the mission of the YMCA and feel it is an essential resource for Sampson County. I share this feedback because I want to see the Y continue to grow and thrive.

Hours of operation are excellent. It provides maximum opportunity to assess its facilities.

Management needs to discourage cell phone use while in the exercise/training environment. Safety issues arise when folks are glued to their phone while on the track.
