I was looking for activities to get out of the house and get some exercise and be among others my age. The YMCA was the ticket. I love the classes that are such a good fit for senior citizens and the instructors are awesome. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

The staff is informative, kind and helpful. I use the pool for therapy. Enjoy! I would like to see more early morning (6am) opening of the pool.

Cardio step and day camp
Only 1 visit,so far everything is going well.
I am very impressed with the way safety is top priority in the pool. The life guards are amazing and always so willing to help the aquatic teachers.
I have attended 2 pool classes and absolutely loved it. I am attending to help my back after having a major 8 hour surgery back in Dec 31st. Been thru physical therapy and admit I have came along way but the pool exercise classes definitely I feel is helping

Not busy…decent hours. Building is in desperate need of repair/upgrades and hand sanitizer needs to be kept full

The dressing rooms and showers and lockers are nice and tidy. Actually everything is tidy every day I have been there. But importantly everyone who works there is kind and friendly and warm and welcoming. I am so glad I joined!

Good variety of exercise options.
I want to express how much I value the Sampson County YMCA and the comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere it provides. The Y has been a welcoming place for me, and I know many members feel the same.
My only concern is that the YMCA does not seem as visible in the wider community as it could be. When events are held, there is very little communication or notification to members. I truly believe that if members were made aware of these events, they would enthusiastically attend and support the Y’s efforts.
To help strengthen the connection between the YMCA and our community, I have joined the local ProMotion Committee. My goal is to share community updates with the Y so that leadership has more opportunities to engage and participate.
I deeply love and support the YMCA and its mission, and I believe that with greater presence and communication, the Y can have an even stronger impact on the lives of families in Sampson County.
