My local YMCA has all the facilities that a member could ask for in a fitness club. You can get your walk on, you can go swimming and also get swim training, you can strength train with weights and machines, you can also play basketball, paddle ball, racquetball, volleyball, as well as spin classes. And the staff is pretty friendly and they have showers and a steam room and probably offer some other things I don’t even know about. So far as I’m concerned it meets all my expectations in a gym and then some.
Everyone is so friendly. The equipment is all in working order and there is plenty of it. The whole facility is clean.
You have the pool, which my husband has to have.

Please add instructions on how to use sauna. Eg what do numbers mean, how can you make sure don’t stay more than 15 minutes, if put dial at top it’s scaulding, if put somewhere else it doesn’t come on. Have do’s and don’t but no instructions.
As I don’t wear a watch when I am in the shower, sauna, etc. I have no way of knowing what time it is as your clock I NEVER working.

I enjoy the YMCA Because I can meet new friends.They have a nice tract where you can walk.
I enjoy th Sit and Be Fit classes and the aquarobics. The gym equipment is always available.
I only use the pool at the present time as I am walking in the pool for therapy. I am trying to avoid surgery. All of the staff at the front desk and pool have been very helpful and professional and friendly.
The facilities are superb. My exercise trainer is outstanding.
Location, variety of exercise equipment, and a positive atmosphere.
The people, facilities, equipment, pool, convenience. My wife and I are building a new house now and don't have the time to take advantage of all this right now. But we will be back.

Cleaniness
What impresses me the most about the Sampson County YMCA is the many programs for the children. My Grandson and I take advantage of every single one. For instance the Summer Day Camp program was instrumental in getting my Grandson out of his comfort zone and added to his socialization.
I am also super impressed by the Group Ex Instructors. They are not only encouraging, they are dedicated to the members that participate in their classes. They take the time out to call, and check in to ensure I meet my goals.
