Family friendly, inclusive and diverse. Facilities are excellent especially enjoy the lap pool and sauna.
I just started coming to Nir. I would like it if the pool was a bit warmer. I'm told by others that it typically isn't as cold as it has been. However I love the saunas. I'm so looking forward to the Jacuzzi. I would like to see more lockers available with a different locking mechanism that you didn't have to lug a huge lock with you. I really do love the place though.
Variety and quality of facilities. Friendly staff.
Training available and Y zone.
Great people and classes
The friendliness of the staff.
I like the friendly atmosphere and member community. There is a great mix of classes offered for all members regardless of the fitness level.
The glaring issue is loosing the best barre instructor, Jodi Adams, and not coming to terms in keeping her. She was in a league of her own. Katie and Elizebeth are fine but no match for what was lost. If I lived closer to where she teaches I would be there instead of barre classes at the Y.
The girl who registered me was fabulous! Isabella I believe.
Class options and times offered seem great and everyone from guests to workers are friendly.
So many programs, helps me out as a single mom with afterschool, day camps and more!
The instructors
The Steam room, The pools, The The Workout equipment, The treadmills... Everything I need to get a good workout.
The staff have been consistently friendly and helpful every time I visit.
Lots of activities and Mona is so friendly and helpful
I enjoy the variety of classes offered and the staff are really nice and helpful. I have made some friends there.
I am a member of the Y since I retired on December 2015. I love going to the Y especially for my shallow water aerobics. I have attended other classes - deep water aerobics, variety of yoga classes and total body fit lite. All the instructors are excellent.
A few minor issues (1) sometimes there is no lifeguard and the members registered for the class are not notified and we sit around the pool waiting and doing nothing; (2) sometimes there is no instructor or no substitute and the members registered for the class are not notified but at least we have the use of the pool; (3) it takes too long to remedy family pool heater to be remedied that either members do the class in sub-optimal (cold) water temperature or class is cancelled because the heater is not working and the water is too cold and unbearable for us oldies. It can expose members to get sick. Anything more than 3 days of cold pool water is unacceptable. There should be better contingency planning. The room in the family pool is also cold, there is not enough heating especially in the winter - this is not a big issue if the pool water temperature is optimal. First name removed

They are trying to help you
Great place for the family to workout and do fun activities. Lots of variety of things offered. Something for everyone.
Great value, comprehensive venue, experienced class instructors and welcoming staff
I love it. Would love it a bit cleaner, but understand there is a lot of foot traffic. Also a clock on the wall outside the sauna would be appreciated.
Awesome.
The Y is a wonderful place to stay healthy and the people and staff are wonderful as well
Location, child watch & classes
The friendly environment, sauna, steam, and pool.
Group fitness classes!!!!
I was there to swim and show The staff was very pleasant helpful!! It was clean also
Water aerobics
I’m there every day and I like everything about the facility. Great staff, great classes, lots of opportunities for everyone.
But: I find it very puzzling (and disrespectful) that the instructors cannot adjust the thermostat in Studio C. This punishes the yoga classes in favor of other types of classes. We need it warmer in yoga and not being able to set a comfortable temperature means we cannot get as much out of our classes as we wish—it’s not fair to make us shiver through a yoga class. Give your instructors the respect they deserve and let them adjust the temperature.
Love the group fitness classes!
