Water aerobic
Lots of equipment, the facilities are kept clean, and, the people working there are real friendly …especially Janet in Silverdale.
The understanding and welcoming environment for my daughter. the childcare is always upfront and nice with my little boys. and the other parents, for the most part, are all kind who go there. teachers are nice and awesome.
i wouldn't recommend our coach D again for the littles soccer. but that was just one small thing in the grandness we get there.
also wonderful support around for homeschooling.
A few weeks ago I joined for the water aerobics to improve my health after heart failure diagnosis in spring. I have been to as many classes as possible M-F & have worked with all 3 instructors and am curious if members are ever given an opportunity to rate classes and instructors. There is a tremendous difference in the quality, professionalism and workout experience in the 3 instructors and in my weeks here I am extremely frustrated with one particular instructor who teaches 2 days a week. Her classes are a complete waste of time and not worth the effort of going to. Whatever her compensation, I hope it’s not the same as Sam and Theresa’s who clearly spend time planning their classes to make sure we all get a very good workout. The other instructor wastes so much class time fiddling with her iPod getting the right selection or sitting on her chair staring off into space while we’re left wondering what to do next. Much of the time participants end up using most of class time visiting with each other because we don’t know what we’re supposed to be doing. I hate to drop 2 of the 5 days I’m coming because I’m desperately trying to improve my health, but each time I get done with her class I am so frustrated with having gotten no workout at all and the instructor has worked on her dance moves and fiddled with her iPod. She doesn’t make any thing clear to us- we all look at each other trying to figure out if she’s started the class then at the end- does that mean class is over?
I love the facility and appreciate the young staff and volunteers.
I do NOT like that the facility no longer places signage to remind the uninformed or uncaring participant to continue to 1) WIPE DOWN the equipment before and after use, and 2) some type of signage that indicates that it is RUDE to sit on a piece of equipment while you’re scrolling through your cell phone messages, talking on your phone, or speaking with another person, standing next to you, WITH NO CONSCIOUSNESS that this behavior is very unfriendly and selfish! It puts those of us who have limited time, limited patience frustrated with unaware folks.
POSTING SIGNAGE AROUND THE AREAS WOULD HELP! Thanks…
P.S. Great that you have removed the children’s “screaming slide”!
The pool and the water aerobics.
I am so impressed with the variety of activities and equipment, the cleanliness, and the open and inviting facility. I am also very appreciative of the Kickstart program. Paul was very helpful in assisting me in beginning strength training and suggesting alternative exercises for those that aggravated a previous injury, which enabled me to continue exercising without pain. I also love that the YMCA has something for everyone, no matter the age, fitness level or interest of the individual. Thank you!
Great hours and equipment
convenient location to our home
Great facility, friendly community, outstanding amenities.
Everything. How about an outdoor pickleball court?
The socialization. The programs offered. I Llove the the active older adult games & coffee days!
It has everything that I need and it is clean and a friendly staff.
Lots of programs. Nice building. Good equipment. Efficient account handling.
I like the hours that I can come any time I want, staff are friendly, variety of equipment. I also like the pool!!! The Y has been a lifesaver for me!!!
However what I don't care for is the LOUD music the lifeguards and repeatedly asking them to turn it down.(some have a attitude) God help anyone who should cry for HELP!!!! Dirty lockers in woman's locker room (for months) plus hair all over the floor. Needs to be vacuumed at night before mopping. Cleanliness has gone down hill. Are sinks and counter tops supposed to be wiped down several times a day like they used to be?????
Thank you for sending me this survey
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. YMCA is very clean with a great selection of equipment and activities.

Clean, organized and great place for the family with several activities and always improving. Thank you.
families representing diversity and inclusion are evident. There are some who are brave enough to wear their religious headwear (hijabs) while exercising in a safe place where all are welcome.

Bible study and prayer meeting. Nativity set. Emphasis on God.
Arline’s exercise classes. Thank you.
Have enjoyed the water workouts with Terresa. She puts a lot of time and effort into conducting a class of high intensity workouts, makes new people feel welcome and gives encouragement. Most previous instructors looked out at the sea of gray hair and thought we were a bunch of woosies... Terresa keeps the intensity up for those who want the full cardio work out but encourages those who can't to modify.

Friendliest place
