My kiddo has been taking swim lessons here for several years, and my husband and I both took swim lessons at the Bremerton YMCA when we were kids! We love the teachers and our kiddo is always super excited to go to his lessons.

Lap Pool not overcrowded
I like the fact that I can arrive anytime for walking in the pool. I don't need to sign up for classes.
Smaller facility with a more community-like atmosphere. Friendly staff. Good instructors.
The people are helpful and kind.
I love them. The staff are amazing, the games and songs are so much fun. I do wish the water was warmer though just cause the little ones seem to get cold pretty quickly. Other than that it's one of my favorite parts of the week.

My daughter looks forward to swim lessons every week and is making steady progress. I also enjoy that it is not terribly difficult to get into a class, unlike some other locations.

The instructors are dedicated to the kids. They always stay engaged with them.
Most of the instructors have been great! The facility is clean and welcoming with a friendly and helpful staff.
The only two issues we’ve had are with the website being kind of a pain to navigate, and the one instructor Natalia. We’re in school level 3 and she spends more time chatting with other staff, or having the kids swim like animals than teaching them the basics. When we have her, I feel like our child regresses.
Small classes, friendly teachers, less chaos, the person who helps find the right class to be in is so helpful.
After many years of inactivity, I decided to try to begin again. I signed up for the Kickstart program, and started with Rudolph. His guidance and encouragement have been so well-suited to my needs & abilities, and I know I’m on my way to becoming fit again.

The Bremerton Family YMCA is exactly that -- you feel like you are family when you are there. The staff are outstanding and helpful. The space is small enough to get to know people and make friends, but large enough to have great opportunities for working out, swimming, great community programs.
