Great equipment
The classes and size of the facilities
I have loved the Y for over 25 years, starting with my kids taking lessons then going to the Y summer daycare and later Youth in Government! I started classes for myself after my cancer diagnosis and continue attending 3 times a week! I have long lasting friendships that started at the Y and find myself enjoying new friends as I continue to pursue a healthy lifestyle!
I like the Aqua Yoga with Sally and the stretch class with Brittany. It would be nice to have aqua yoga 15 minutes longer.
Fitness classes
Meeting new friends
A place to go when the weather is too cold or wet to exercise outside
I have been going to the Tacoma YMCA ( closer to home) but returned to Morgan for TRX with Chris this morning. I had a blast ! Chris always brings her best to whatever she teaches. I plan to return next Tuesday.
Love classes offered to seniors!
The sauna in the men's dressing area! Super! Hope we keep it! And/or something similar in new building.
COMMIT classes are SO SPECIAL and MANINGFUL!!!It isn't just fitness, it's community!!! Mertriss, Nicole and Keesha have been such incredible instructors, making everyone feel so fantastic with how they teach and lift up everyone! THANK YOU!!!
Hi
This is not "like" feedback per se - I do love our Y and am there 3+ times a week - but a raising of concern.
I regularly use the track, and can navigate around folks who may be walking in the middle/jog lane (usually couples) - it happens, flexibility required. However, I am very concerned when I see younger children running around. Their space and situational awareness is limited, and while they are with a parent, the likelihood of them darting onto the track is high. I have seen this frequently. And what would happen if a runner were to collide with a child? Who is at fault? God forbid they, and even the much larger runner, sustain an injury - but who is liable?
I wanted to share this reasonable concern. I'd hate for us all - the Y, parents, children, members - have to deal with what I feel is an inevitable matter.

Friendly staff, many options for classes and work outs
Staff try to get to know u
Friendly greeting always. Something for everyone, every day.
Family friendly & polite courteous and helpful staff.
Hey there. This message is for Jared-Director. I’d love for the Y to offer a breakdancing class for adults by the Boot Camp instructor Dat (not sure I’m still his name correctly.)
Also, I really feel like it’s important for women and men to have a self-defense class. Can we offer that?
Having trouble with my email so I might get sent back I’m not sure. I have to figure it out, but this one might not work well. You could respond to Email address removed if it gets sent back. I hope to get that other main email fixed.
Thanks for your time!

The people are friendly and helpful.
EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!
While, having been a part of other Y systems around the country, I have come to the conclusion that Pierce/Kitsap Ys are if not the best certainly one of the premier Y systems anywhere. And the Morgan is the CROWN jewel!
Here is why:
Deep inclusion of everyone, NO ONE SEEMS LEFT OUT!!!!!!!!! There are no issues with any of the -isms that are destructive to our society. From the employee that run the welcome center to the infinite ways to use the facilities The Morgan has a place and a space for everyone. And in the 40 years of walking through the Morgan’s doors I have been amazed by how the Morgan has made the subtle changes both to the facility and philosophy that has attempted to keep pace with social change, without making an issue about it not being “the good old days”.
Personally, as an aging athlete I find the Morgan a unparalleled resource for not only my physical well being but my mind and spirit.
Truth be told, I do not reply to very many surveys and the reason I do these Y surveys is I am proud that this great world class organization is right here. I LOVE the MORGAN!!!
We are thinking of moving over the Narrows Bridge and I always look at the distance from the Morgan to the properties, and hope the Gig Harbor Y lives up to The MORGAN!
exercise classes---the other members attending the class, getting to know the instructors
In a world fracturing along racial and class lines, I like the presence and respect of multiple races and ethnicities, as well the outreach to indigent youth.
