Great staff and fun programs. We love our 3rd place.
Everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Inclusivity, compassion, general openness...
Exceptional facilities, amazing network of facilities in PK...
Pool staff is excellent, Michael the water aerobics guy (I know he is Admin) is an extraordinary human (and I am not in water aerobics)
ThankYOU for being the Poster Organization for DEI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me know how I can support the continuation of DEI at the Morgan and throughout the PK Ys...no matter what is going on elsewhere.
all is good.
Class instructors are knowledgeable and cordial.
The atmosphere, the staff, the inclusiveness……
The only thing that I’m not happy with is the overcrowding in some of the classes but I assume that will not be a problem when the new building is finished.
This is great for families and groups. The pool is body temperature and super clean. It has a lovely atmosphere. Many classes are offered to keep exercising a fun activity.
The variety of equipment and classes. The helpfulness of the staff.
The staff at the Morgan Family Y are fantastic! They’re always welcoming and polite. Jared and Michael do an excellent job running the place. Keep up the great work!
The variety of classes.
Friendly helpful staff, and we are so grateful Morgan Family Y accepts Silver Sneakers. It benefits so many of us, keeping us fit and active.
Very nice people work at Morgan YMCA. The facilities are clean and well maintained. Sauna, hot tub pool and weight rooms are great. Evening is very busy but other times it’s much less crowded!!!
I love that the Y serves all generations at their facilities and programs for all. I use the lap pool nearly every day and they are consistent. I do early mornings and the Y provides me opportunities to practice part of my rhythm in meditation through swimming. I have made some great connections with people over time and a common place where we can have positive common contact in taking care of our mind, body, and for some, soul. I have been a Y member for nearly 2 decades and have been grateful for all the programs offered and for children programs I have used as well.
The classes and instructors are awesome
Dat’s boot camp and power yoga - Dat is the best I have encountered and I am 57!
Greg’s yoga classes - Greg cares deeply. Classes are very well thought out and he is able to lead a challenging class while reaching individuals abilities. Greg oozes goodness..
Denali - don’t remember class names. She clearly loves being a YMCA leader, she is kind and attentive to all abilities.
I love wading through the lobby in the evening when all ages of young people mingle. I especially love seeing teens congregating on Friday evenings. I am thankful that kids have a space to stretch their bodies and minds in a space that includes all ages.
The front desk folks are always friendly and engaged.
The variety (and growing) and the safe inclusive space for all kids ranging from toddlers to teens.
Your staff support for current and future members is beyond reproach and open to all. Whether you are looking for body building. loosing weight or just meeting some new friends, this is the place go.
Not overcrowded like Gig Harbor.
The GH aquatics "schedules" are a very un-funny JOKE. The situation in the GH aquatics website is rarely what you encounter when you arrive. Where are their schedules coming from?
I have heard that the GH staff is not entirely in control of setting the schedules.
Generally speaking, the GH YMCA is getting overcrowded. When my wife and I joined Morgan in the early 1980's, there was a limit on the number of members allowed. We waited about 9 months before we got in. Seems that they since have done away with all limits.
So we are sometimes just paying the tolls to come over to Morgan. I know of others doing the same. With the way Gig Harbor is growing, your choices are either to start limiting membership, or start planning to expand facilities there, including parking.

We love the ymca and everything it offers!
I joined the Morgan Y the day it opened in Aug of 1977
1 Mu opinion may be biased, it's my second home! It's the people, I know numerous folks that work out there and the staff is the best!!
Location and friendly staff. Hoping that the new building is designed more like the UW Tacoma Student Center facility than the downtown Tacoma, Gig Harbor or Kitsap facilities as there is just enough more space between equipment and apparatuses allowing for a safer feel.
The Morgan Family YMCA provides a positive and healthy atmosphere. I feel safe there. The staff is courteous and helpful. Volunteers are knowledgeable and helpful. The facility is kept clean.
The Morgan Y offers alot of exercise opportunities and the staff are very friendly. It is clean and refreshing.
Excellent selection of equipment, classes, variety of choices for fitness routines. Clean facility and supportive staff. Large areas to offer the activity lists provided. Training schedules available for all ages and on site nursery.
I really like the community that is created and supported by all the things that the y offers.
Excellent facilities, wide variety of activities and a wide variety of age groups from younger to older..
Staff are wonderful. members are good and treat each other well.
Great place to exercise as far as I am concerned, has all the facilities I need and is a great family place to bring our children to take lessons of different exercise activities.
Convenient location
Generous hours of operation
Well-qualified staff
Clean facility
Large variety of classes
Many kinds of equipment to use
Needs improvement:
The largest weight room has been short one carabiner clip for over a month, requiring patrons to borrow one from other equipment in the room. I have reported the problem to the front desk and was told the Y is aware of it. Surely this is not a huge expense and should have been remedied already.

I participated in this quiz earlier.
