I like that this YMCA isn’t too busy and has most of the machines and equipment that I need.
The staff is amazing and super helpful. The vibe at the YMCA is so much better than the vibe at any other gym. There’s a strong sense of community. Also, I have a caregiver because I’ve had some unfortunate health issues that started to arise in 2018, and the fact that my caregiver gets to work out with me is such a huge gift for both of us.

It's easy to get a hold of someone when you need to talk about your membership. The gym is always so clean and the staff is wonderful. Tacoma ymca has always been so helpful and with communication. You don't have to jump through a lot of hoops to get an answer.

AOA classes, friendly staff
Over the 30 years I have been a member, the front desk staff has almost always been very welcoming, informative, and friendly. Many of them have become quite good friends whom I look forward to seeing when I go to the Y.
I love the masters swimming sessions. They are a great workout plus there are opportunities to improve your swimming

It’s very expensive especially if you don’t qualify for financial aid but it’s a great gym and I enjoy working out here
The facilites are marvelous. Cared for, organized, well equipped and the staff are always friendly. They offer a number of excellent workshops and classes. Most if not all are free to members.
My wife and I look forward to our trips to the Y and we always leave feeling energized for the day.

The Tai Chi instructor is wonderful as is the class she teaches. I come for this class mainly and to walk the track for 30 minutes after class.
Ive been in a lot of gyms and by far this is the best gym I’ve ever joined. A family like atmosphere and its always clean and the staff is very helpful!
