I like the Tom Taylor Family YMCA because it provides an opportunity to do so many things to promote health. It has an indoor track, many different classes to take, including ones for Silver and Fit participants.
It has areas to take a break and relax by a fire. The staff members are knowledgeable and very helpful.
Wide range of activities. Attentive staff. Wide range of strength equipment and weights. Generally plesant members.
Family oriented, generally the staff are friendly and helpful. I say generally because I have noticed that some of the new front desk staff are not as friendly as they have been in the past. Many of the historical staff have left in the last few years. In part I think you are busier and there is less time to socialize when there is line. This is not a huge criticism but an observation.
I appreciate that you open your doors to non-members who want to participate in some of the groups. Thank you for that.

Making friends
PLEASE, a few more stationary bikes. I believe there are only four in the building. Yesterday there were all being used and there were a couple of us waiting. I use them a great deal and have to wait 30 to 40% of the time.
Other than that, you all are fantastic!!!

I love all of the programming being offered!
But wish there were be more slots for some high-demand classes like swimming and gymnastics.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoy the Y. Alisha, our instructor in barre is fantastic. Also, her yoga class after on Fridays is wonderful. We would highly recommend the Gig Harbor why to new arrivals.

Yin Yoga, zumba/dance fitness, kick start program - Tim is awesome! everyone who works there is friendly, helpful and respectful.
We love the swim lessons. All the instructors seem to be very in tune with the kids and what they need. It’s also very helpful to have so many swim levels offered.
LOVE the drop-in classes during school breaks. Specifically the obstacle course, it’s fantastic. The teachers really care about making it fun and engaging for the kids. Thank you!

The people are friendly, there is plenty of parking and the facilities are really nice.
We are such huge fans of the youth programs at Tom Taylor! The Saturday art classes and Toddler Gym with Coach Manda are our favorites! Coach Manda really goes the extra mile in everything she does, from interacting with the kids and chatting with parents, to planning fun activities. She’s the best and we are so lucky to have her!
I love toddler gymnastics at the Tom Taylor Family YMCA. My son tried toddler gym at the Morgan Family Y, but the room was so large so I think he found it intimidating. Instead, I opted to try gymnastics at Tom Taylor and it's the perfect fit for my son.
I enjoy the enthusiasm of the teachers and they really try to make everyone feel special and motivated to move their bodies.
The Y offers a wide variety of activities that are entertaining, engaging and healthy. The kids really enjoy going to the Y and having it close by is so convenient.
Our grandson also enjoyed attending day camp last summer for one week at Camp Helena. He is already signed up for a week this coming summer 👌
