Front desk folks are friendly, helpful, and cheerful on the way in and out. The facility is clean and there is a lot going on in all the different areas of the building. I like all the windows so I can see outside.
The staff and camp counselor for the kids are amazing. Shoutout to Rene and Shane! My son always looks forward to going to camp rather than stay home so that says something! The hours are perfect for parents too!
Love the variety of classes and class times. The facility is kept clean.
My daughter stays busy and active all day and really has a good time while she is at camp. It seems like the counselors are really engaged with the kids too which is wonderful.

When it comes to the Itty Bitty camp, I would give the camp a 9. I feel as though my son had a great experience, and the counselors were energetic, fun and welcoming. My son came home with great stories of walking to the creek and seeing ducks.
When it comes to the Tom Taylor YMCA experience, I would give this place a ONE STAR. I came into camp one day and my son had to use the bathroom. I checked in with the girls at the front room and told them I was going to take him to the bathroom, which I should be allowed to do. When I walked past the front check-in counter, a grumpy old bald guy yelled, "HEY STOP - YOU NEED TO CHECK IN!""Is this the kind of experience you want paying members of the YMCA to have? To be shouted at with a little kid? I told him I am not a member of YMCA but my son is in day camps and needs to use the restroom. He told me that was not allowed. I asked, "I cannot take my son to use the restroom?" The grumpy bald guy working on Thursday July 2nd at 8:30AM told me to get in line behind the other 5 people and that I needed to pay for a guest pass. Seriously!? Pay to take my son to the restroom when I have already paid an inflated amount for camp due to not being a YMCA member. You have all the information about myself and son on file and most likely have us on camera. This was such a frustrating experience for me trying to take my 3 year old to the bathroom. I understand the YMCA has a process but there is also a time when customer service needs to come first and this guy at the front desk is clearly missing the customer experience part of his job. If this is the experience you want paying members to have at the Tom Taylor YMCA my family and I will never be back. So again, great time at the Itty Bitty camp and I would love for my son to come back but I never want to be put in that situation again where I am being shouted at while trying to take my son to the bathroom. That was a terrible experience with the front desk staff at the Tom Taylor YMCA. Hoping a conversation can be had with this employee so no mother and child have to be shamed again for needing to use the restroom.-First name removed

We love Katie and Cassidy. They're doing a great job, great attitudes and great vibes. Honestly, my expectations have been totally exceeded. I feel like my kids are well cared for, happy, and truly enjoying the experience. Katie is a delight, with such great energy that dropping off my kids feels relieving, knowing they're in good hands.
I love how much my son loves camp! The activities keep him engaged and he seems to really enjoy the staff and especially loves that the groups are separated by age. At a previous YMCA they didn't separate the children and it caused a lot of issues as they are all in different developmental stages. This facility is amazing, I appreciate all that you do to make summer enjoyable for the kids! My only gripe is I wish the early pickup process was not as chaotic. I have to go to the building then to the tents, then search for the person who has my son's medicine, then we can leave. I think the meds should just stay in the building with whoever is signing people out for the day. Trying to search each day for who is carrying his medication concerns me that it may go missing as sometimes the camp counselor who has it may be on break or have given it to someone else. Other than that, it has been great so far!

The surge fit classes are my favorite! Tracy and Crystal do an amazing job! They show lots of options for different fitness levels and keep it FUN! I also love the commit dance lessons and barre.
