I like the small community feel to it and the staff are friendly.
The steam room is by far the greatest out of all the YMCA locations locally. Hot tub is great too. Less people and easier to get through my routines quickly.
I have only used the downtown branch mostly but recently have been attending the water aerobic classes at the Visser branch. The classes are so well run and the instructors really work you. Great classes every time!

We have done goldfish in the past which comes with a really premium price and we've been really impressed with the Y's aquatics in comparison. We feel the lessons and quality of instructors are the Y are higher than goldfish and feel better for our kids. They do a fantastic job.
I like going to the Y and swimming laps. It’s a nice place. I wish more money would go towards cleaning the facility though. I dont feel like the remodel was needed. Maybe put a dehumidifier in the locker room. It would also be great if the y supplied towels again.

The Visser Family Y is a very welcoming place to go to work-out and also to make new friends, or catch up with existing friends. They also offer programs for members of all ages.
I really enjoy the sense of community at the Visser Family YMCA. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and there's a real feeling of support whether you're there for fitness, swimming, classes, or just to spend time with family. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and there’s a great variety of programs for all ages. I especially like how inclusive it feels—everyone from kids to seniors has something to enjoy and participate in. Plus, the group fitness classes and the pool are top-notch!

I am never disappointed when I'm at Visser, never. Everyone has a smile, Pool temps are perfect and hot tubs always working. Which is not true of the Spartan location that's for sure. I live by Spartan but I will always drive 8 miles further to get to Visser, always!
