I like that I can get assistance with equipment, that I have a knowledgeable trainer to help me, that the reception area is useful, the equipment is clean and in good working order, and that everyone is friendly.

The facility has the equipment I need. It has been an enjoyable experience being new to the gym.
Love the group fitness classes, but having a few 9:00 or 9:30 class options is preferred instead of 8:30 or 8:45 (referring to high intensity style classes, NOT fit for life ones).
Two things on my wish list are:
1) a simple hook rack upstairs to hang jackets
2) sweep the group fitness room floor more frequently (when we're on the ground on our hands for pushups, burpees, etc., there is much crud that needs to be brushed off when we're done!)

Staff is friendly and facility is clean and well kept
Friendly.. plenty of volunteers to walk you thru the equipment use and care.. lots of opportunities to join classes.. free to do what best suits your needs and interests and schedule. Pleasant atmosphere.. clean, neat and tidy.

The gym and the steam room.

Nice bathroom and sinks are some of best in town.
But having a larger indoor track would be cool.
I love the variety of classes and excellent instructors. When I walk in I am greeted with a friendly hello. Two years ago I had open heart surgery. When I returned to my WERQ class 6 weeks later the ladies clapped and said they prayed for me. The Y is much more than a gym. It is a community of people who support each other. Instructors explain low and high impact and reinforce the importance of doing what you are able to. I have been a member along with my husband for 18 years. The Y is 5 stars.

I like to swim laps and the lap pool is nice and not crowded in the afternoon.
