What do you like about your David D. Hunting YMCA experience?

Exceptionally Friendly staff, the best out of all the YMCA I have been too. Wonderful splash water park. I come with 2 little kids and the pool staff open the door for me. They help get life jackets. They also are so sweet with the kids. I love this YMCA they treat us like family! My time is precious when I go to the gym and they let me utilize every minute until they close! I appreciate you guys so much. I just finished my triathlon and I want to thank you for letting me train without kicking me out early. 😀 keep smiling my friends! we will drive the extra to go go this super wonderful staff <3. Thank you

What do you like about your David D. Hunting YMCA experience?

My Y experience has been a very welcoming experience from the moment I walk in the door, the wonderful workers who keep the locker rooms so clean, the life guards who for the most part are so friendly and helpful. Previously I did work with trainers and had a fantastic experience with them all. In fact the last one I worked with emailed me lists of my exercises I could continue with when the pandemic shutdown occurred and I have been doing them ever since. I only use the pool now for water aerobics, haven't returned to the gym.

Plenty of machines available. I really like the treadmills that have the card games on them.

The staff is awesome, especially the front desk and the pool staff!!! I have met wonderful friends through the classes at the YMCA.

I like the pools.
I do wish that showering prior to entry was enforced.
Then, the pools would require less chemicals.

I love the equipment, and the staff! The locker rooms need a facelift, though.

What do you like about your David D. Hunting YMCA experience?

I only go here for Northern's Zumba class - my usual Y is MFB. But the downtown Y is nice and I like that it gets me downtown. The only thing I would say is if the parking gate could be activated by my Apple Wallet Y card, rather than going into the Y app, that would be great.

I love how clean it is. It functions so well and have amazing staff. I love how unique the YMCA is from other "Gyms". The Y is way more than just a gym, it is a community. A community I am proud to be apart of. I also love that it open at 5am.

Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of choices of ways to exercise. My daughter enjoys her time in Kids' zone.

What do you like about your David D. Hunting YMCA experience?

I love going to the Y. The front desk staff is usually very welcoming, which is a nice way to start your workout time.

A couple things that are a little irritating:
1. the wipe containers are not always full, actually, often there are only a couple that have wipes in them. I also wonder about the environmental footprint of using all those wipes! Has a cost analysis been done that included environmental impact of wipes vs towels and spray for the machines?

2. there are always always always lines/people waiting for the leg machines; especially the leg extension and leg curl. Maybe additional equipment would be nice. I haven't been able to use any leg equipment except the calf press for 2 weeks due to the people using them and waiting. It isn't like people have all day just to sit and wait for a machine.

I love the group fitness classes. Would love more big theme events! Makes exercise feel like a community and not just a chore.
