Great atmosphere and variety of activities. I do yoga while my kids play basketball and we all enjoy swimming. Generally the hours are also really good.
The people.
My family has maintained a membership for more than a decade. Even when I'm not in a regular fitness routine, I've never considered dropping our Y membership. When our children were younger, we'd take them to the kid zone almost every day, and the people there were like family to us. And every kid in Grand Rapids loves Mr. Rodney. Walking in and seeing these people gives me joy every time I visit, and it keeps me coming back.
I appreciate the efforts lately to spruce up the third floor. It looks nice. Maybe it will look impressive on the tours for new members. But, to be honest, I don't care what it looks like upstairs, and I don't care a whole lot what equipment is there. If you want to keep members like me happy, keep investing in your people - especially the people on the first floor! Give them all the raises you possibly can. They're the reason our family is a Y family, and why we'll never leave.

I love the community feel, the amenities and the view is great. good hoops runs, nothing to complain about at all.

Third floor renovations are a definite 'facelift'. Well done.
- Please rehang clocks on the third floor soon.
- The Lateral Lift machine has been missing one of its two hand grips for weeks. Please replace.
- Men's steam room lights are too bright. Men's sauna light is off or burned out.
- I hope handicap and senior citizen parking will survive the soccer stadium construction. It's a much longer walk from the parking garage to the entrance.
- Our dues have increased significantly with fewer services (e.g., no towels since 2020). Now there is a charge for credit card or check payment processing. Is there a committee that includes members evaluating ways to control or reduce costs?

Cycling classes. Jess and Christine are excellent Id also be disappointed if Rodney ever stopped working at the front desk. He is so thoughtful to everyone entering the building
Love the classes offered. Fit for life with Barbara and Cindi are great. Different styles but both give us a good workout.
The Y has people with whom I like to hang out. They keep me accountable and I keep my friends accountable. What more do we need?

I have been a participant of the YMCA for years over 20 years..I don't have anything bad to say I'm very grateful for the services that I have like most things nothing is perfect, for the most part it's hard working with a community of people and to keep things as they should it's a team thing so with that being said people should learn to respect what they use clean up behind themselves and stop abusing the facility that's my concern with people...
The options for exercise; general cleanliness and good lighting in the facilities.

I enjoy the pools mostly. The staff are usually friendly.
I appreciate the location, the friendliness of the staff, who are really helpful. I love the view around the track, and I appreciate the workout areas there too.

I like the classes and the times that the gym is open. However, I do miss the towels service. I wish we can have it back it will make it a great experience again.
