adult sport classes like pickleball
I enjoy the dedicated deadlift and squat rack areas as well as the amount of dumbbell benching areas available. I wish attendants were more willing to spot members when bench pressing and were trained on how to spot. The attendants don't seem willing to spot and it is dangerous.
Nice staff. Clean. A lot of groups classes to choose
Everything, friendly staff and the inclusion of special needs individuals is so very important to me.
Love the MFB YMCA. Is probably the nicest gym I’ve ever visited. Do wish they would restart the towel service (stopped in early COVID)
I love how large and open the facility is. I usually go to smaller Ys, so this is a nice change.
Even though the parking lot may be full there seems to be plenty of rim to still workout. I have a trainer that's working well with me.
A very clean, and well kept facility. Staff is friendly, and helpful when I need them. The equipment seems to be well maintained, and sanitary. A joy to work out at this location.
Variety of classes, great instructors, clean and friendly environment!
Very affordable for the benefits, excellent well maintained equipment
My go-to location for group classes.
I like the swimming pool, which is really nice in the winter.
Lots of equipment, several basketball courts, multiple pools, everything is up to date, plenty of easy to access parking. We love it.
The Pedaling for Parkinson’s sessions are what is keeping me on track. I hope it continues. I prefer the midday sessions as I am retired. Jenny and the other coaches are so attentive and supportive!!!
Clean and friendly
It’s an affordable and approachable way to get active & learn new sports. We appreciate that at our children’s age these are not overly competitive or demanding leagues. It was a little tough to understand what the expectations/rules were for 1/2 basketball…I understand the kids’ skills are so different at that age but it felt like the rules weren’t enforced consistently, which confused the girls and make them more timid. I also appreciated there was a coaching clinic this time and while we couldn’t take advantage I loved the kids clinics offered! On the whole we are so pleased with the experience, thank you!
This was our first time with a YMCA sports league and we had a great experience with coaches, all the courts/referees/equipment on game days felt very organized, and overall had a positive experience.
Sportsmanship, fun, low pressure, good communication
Love the basketball program and the refs are amazing and engaging.
Rob Halsma was a great coach who did an outstanding job of coaching the boys
Nice place
I go to this Y at least once a week. It's a fine place to go to for healing, recovery, and fitness. You get a couple of loungers on equipment every now and then. The track is incredible for sprinting, the straight aways have good length but be careful of the turns as they are bit sharper than downtowns track.
The mens sauna is a comfortable atmosphere and it gets to about 170 F. The temperature could be much more stable and efficient if the door had a ball detent latch. It does not close properly and leaks heat like a sieve.
The 2025 resolution surge has beckoned in a bit of members who don't seem to place their weights back in the proper place. This might seem tenable and innocent at first but it might create a careless culture in the future.
The staff mostly are quite warm and inviting, some shy but overall a place that is a go to.
We use your track to run in cold weather.
Nice open plan. I like the track and I plan to get started in the aquatics for arthritis class when I get well enough.
Nice and big, a lot of members, apparently. Availability of the gym is still good, however.
Open the kidzone on Sundays!!!
Clean. Friendly staff.
Every staff member I meet is so "personable." Just a friendly chat . . . sometimes I have a question, which they actually try to get resolved for me. The greatest is my Personal Trainer: Jake Delosh. He is very careful to "not set the load levels higher than is right for me." If he makes a mistake . . . he is quick to make an adjustment that is more correct for me.
When I grow up, I want to be just like Jake!

Great environment.

Love to play pickleball there!
