I love the Mary Free Bed. My only complaint would be to more accurate for the swim schedule. Often the practice for the Rays or the Masters class is not on the schedule so I show up expecting many lanes are there are hardly any.
Inclusion
The programs, the cleanliness and size of facility (indoors & outdoors)
The track that is ONLY 5 laps/mile!!!😲
Great place!
Personal trainer/ ur people / the facility😎😎/ attitude of everyone / cleanliness!!
Layout is great. multiple courts for basketball and pickleball and always seem to have a court available for even family to shoot around. the track is also great set up around facility with plenty of space no worries of other equipment in way. looking forward to using other great opportunities for family at Mary Free Bed.
I love the indoor track.
The facility is so clean too.
The wide variety of workout machines ans equipment. Don't like the later opening on holiday's and weekends. If I can't begin my work between 0500 and 0600, those late opening cause me to skip my workout all together.
Friendly and welcoming atmosphere
Lots of equipment kept in good repair. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The facility is kept clean.
Very clean and updated equipment. Friendly staff
Great options and staff. Love the multi generation environment. Clean....
It’s a nice facility. I love the pool area.
I started with the Live Strong program and was so pleased with it. Our trainer Sarah was so knowledgeable and encouraging. My fellow class members have become my friends! I went on to officially join the Mary Free Bed YMCA. I am impressed with how inclusive Mary Free Bed YMCA is. As a senior recovering from cancer I feel right at home. I sometimes come with one my teenage grand children and they also feel right at home. It truly is a special place.
Everything
Lots of great instructors in the classes and great class options. To name a few: Kati, Holly, Jenny and Katy! My score is a 9 because there are a couple instructors I wouldn't recommend if you are trying to get the most out of your class. Majority of the front desk is welcoming and kind when coming in and out. The facilities are all great and well maintained.
Beautiful facility! Noce people at desk!
There's a variety of ways to exercise.
I appreciate the diversity of people who come to the YMCA. There is no sense that you have to dress a certain way or look a certain way in order to belong at the Y. I do not feel judged.
Friendly and positive staff. Equipment is posted with instructions and what part of the body it works. Nice pool facilities.
I like the instructor of the swim classes!
Great place
Clean, newer facility, parking is much better and less stressful than downtown. I really appreciate the classes, Kidzone for toddlers, nice track, and toddler friendly pool, (and hot tub for adults).
All the instructors
I love the group exercise classes. Would REALLY LOVE for the Y to offer middle of the day Pickleball classes for BEGINNERS ONLY. I really want to learn to play but the play during the open pickleball hours is to advanced for me to participate in.
I love the variety of equipment, the knowledge of the trainers, the variety of classes available, I love the pool, I love the hot tub, I love the sauna, I love the showers, I love the hours it is open, I don't love the fact I have to drive so far for a good facility as I live in Lowell, MI and that facility is too small, full of teenagers, way too small, too little equipment choices, not enough classes. YMCA.org paid WAY TOO MUCH for the Lowell facility and I am really disappointed in the board for wasting the Wege Foundation money on this.
The site is close to my house.
Meeting new friends. The water cardio aerobics classes are so enjoyable and gives me the daily exercise I need.

Such a great launch party last Saturday morning!
