Classes and overall facility. Clean and well kept.
I am a long time member who just restarted taking classes and trying to be more active. I find the YMCA staff and other members welcoming and encouraging. There are many different classes and activities available - whether single, married, with family, or with health-challenges. I especially like the community atmosphere at the Somerset Hills YMCA.
I have taken two AOA classes and an Arthritis Water Class so far.
Sarah , the instructor f an AOA class, showed modifications to the exercises as I have mobility issues with both knees and I am overweight. Arm exercises were great. It was still worthwhile to attend despite not being able to do the all the exercises.
The water exercise class led my Mary class was at a more leisurely pace and felt good for the knees. I enjoyed the class immensely.
A lot of cardio equipment , there’s always equipment for me to use , very little wait time if any

People are pleasant and very helpful. The YMCA has a very positive and inclusive environment! Pleasure to use the facility!!
When I’m up from Florida for the summer I go to the Y. Very good facility, lots of equipment, friendly staff.
Everyone at the front desk is incredibly nice and helpful whenever I have an issue.

We are so appreciative of the After Care Program at Bedwell Elementary School. The staff is fantastic and they come up with really great activities for the kids - no matter the weather or space within the school. Thank you!
The large variety of exercise machines and classes.
However, one suggestion. Many people occupy a machine while browsing their smartphone. It should be very strongly discouraged.

I’m disappointed that several classes I took regularly at 6:00 have been moved to 5:30 For working people and traffic itskes it impossible to get to the Y by 5:30.
The instructors are excellent. The staff is very warm.
Variety
The staff and great facilities
This was our first year using the aftercare program through the Bedminster School. We have had nothing but great experiences so far. It is so convenient to have aftercare kick in on half days when school closes early. Or being able to use the kids day out during school breaks. Lastly, the staff has been fabulous. Positive, fun and kind but also structured in a way that makes me know the kids are safe and respect that the staff is in charge. Chris seems to be an awesome leader. Anthony and Mary have also been such solid helpers through the year.
The variety of classes in a group. Cleanliness is another aspect.

The opportunity to exercise and potentially see old friends
The facility is extensive in all it has to offer. I am pleased with the front desk assistance I have received as well as the encouragement from the class instructors to try other classes that I may not have considered. The YMCA is also very clean.
The one thing that I do wish was more readily available are class slots at 7:00 or 7:30am. I do know of other members who have had this same conversation with me, so I do feel it is something that perhaps the administration could look into accommodating.

The eGym is what keeps me coming back. That, and the friendly staff- I love how Will greets me by name.
They are organized and structured, and do a great job incorporating physical activities as much as possible. The kids day out sessions for when school is closed is very helpful Easy to communicate with the team through the app or email. The program teachers are very engaged with the kids and are consistent with maintaining order and reinforced expected behavior. Very grateful to have this as a childcare option for before and after school care!
It's a big facility with a lot of different classes offered. The swimming instructor is also great.
