clean environment. friendly staff.
Always feel great when I leave there,
Love the gym, I have one complaint. Classes that need your attention.Ie Pilates Mat,reformer and Yin yoga. Should not let people enter once the class has started. It is dangerous because they are not properly warmed up, it’s rude to the teacher and also to the other people in the group. It happens with every class , same people every day.. Once they get in , then they have to walk around and get the props so it is quite annoying. Please consider some kind of solution to this. Also the teacher has to stop and get the late people up to par. It is so annoying and disrespectful. Thanks for your time.I hope you will give this matter some thought.
Variety of machines.

Very clean building
Great classes
Variety of classes and programs
The facilities are very clean and welcoming, and the entire staff is kind and friendly, always willing to help the community. Thank you very much for everything.
Classes
My only comment is that sometimes people are sitting at machines looking at their phones Not necessarily in between repetitions. They are basically finished with the machine but they are sitting there on the phone. But it’s a great facility and we love going there.
competent helpful staff, excellent facilities
Great staff. Plenty of equipment. Convenient operating schedule.
Excellent classes and excellent instructors
The Somerset Hills YMCA has been a VERY important source to me of both dedicated exercise and socialization opportunities. For those of us suffering from Parkinsons, Socializing & Exercising are the ONLY PROVEN WAY to SLOW DOWN the progression of the disease. With dedicated and trained Parkinsons Coaches(Sue, Rebecca, Malcom, Kevin and Ginny)teaching with a positive & inclusive coaching style...AND a variety of Exercise classes & equipment, the YMCA has helped me better deal with my Parkinsons progression(diagnosed back in 2012). The YMCA has also inspired me to take a leadership position in the Somerset Hills Parkinsons Support Group(formed by combining a Somerset Hills group with my Overlook Hospital group) with a combined membership of 60+ at the beginning With the help of my Leadership Team of Karen Malkin, Micheal Sheehan and Christine Bedrosian and Lisa Pensabene's Y program leadership, we have almost doubled the size of the Group to 110+ becoming a Prime Source of information to help my fellow PwP's(People with Parkinsons) live their BEST DAY, EVERYDAY. Because of programs like the one at the YMCA, a Parkinsons diagnosis can be considered less of a Death Sentence and more of a Life Challenge...thank you Somerset Hills YMCA.

Great facility and great staff!
The staff is helpful and friendly. The facility is kept very clean…it’s bright and cheery inside and that makes the workout experience more enjoyable. Any instructor I have had for the classes I take have been great! I especially love Bonnie C for Pilates!!! Don’t ever lose her!!
Great equipment, very clean facilities
,terrific staff and convenient times for access.
I enjoy all of the classes I attend and the instructors who lead them. They are knowledgeable and push you to extend what you think are your limits. I also enjoy using the eGym and keeping track of my workouts, as well as strength gains. The app is also very helpful to see current levels of strength and areas of muscle imbalance.
It is also a very clean facility and the equipment is always in good working order. The Y also has a wide range of health, fitness, and wellness programs and events that we've taken advantage of over the years. SHY has served our family of four very well over the past two+ decades.
