Timely bus pick up and arrival. Consistent communication. Fun and engaging activities.
No pressure
We loved the camp. My kid came home every day smiling and happy. I have no idea we what they did all day but they had fun. We will definitely come again next year.
Convenience I live here in town
the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff,
the classes the instructors and
the equipment and workout rooms.
I love it and I’m very happy as a member.
We have had a great experience with the Dolphins. As the swimmers progress into higher competitive groups, I think there is a need for more stroke breakdown and form feedback. I think it would be beneficial to have one-two practice(s) per month in the teen room, where you watch videos on a specific stroke and talk about correct body form, starts (including underwater time), turns, finishes for that stroke. My kids attended the Princeton swim camp and learned so much in 4 days about stroke specific body placement, etc., but could definitely benefit from continued work in that area as it can make a huge difference in reducing swim times.
Best summer ever! I’m so sad I wasn’t able to get in 2 years ago. My sons are 11 and 13 this summer and he has enjoyed every moment. I was concerned he would be too old but it’s been perfect. The communication from the camp has also been great with keeping parents informed.
I like the multiple time options for the classes. However, some of the classes have too many kids for one instructor
Everything
Class size. However, I believe the instructors should be in the pool with the kids to illustrate the proper techniques.
Great group fitness classes
Friendly atmosphere, we loved it.
I like the hours and the variety of programs
This year has been great. Our head counselor in room 11 Miss Ashley has been fantastic. The kids love her. The rest of the counselors feel engaged and excited to be there. Miss Beverly is also the best. My son is having a great summer.
Just a really great team. Coaches are amazing and all the community goes above and beyond.
Great counselors, great outdoor time.
Great staff
My only activity at the Y is swimming. The pool schedule is pretty good for my schedule.
The weekly trips add a new experience each week. Gives the kids something to look forward to.
I love this YMCA. It is easy for me to get to . I live in Bloomfield. I can take the 11, 28 or 29. It takes me 15 minutes by bus. The staff is always pleasant.
It’s convenient and the instructors are very friendly.
My daughter loves the themes each week, the counselors and the swimming. This is her second year in a row and she comes home excited each day.
My daughter loves this camp every year! Such wonderful and attentive staff.
My kids enjoyed the small group. It helped them learn and allowed them to focus on their form while feeling insecure about their abilities. Gave them confidence
the variety of machines and different weights to work out on and with
My son had a structured day which helped reinforce some of the same structure he learned at school. He also had great success with swimming.
My daughter has had a wonderful experience at camp so far. She was so nervous the first few days and Ms. Kim in beforecare helped so much in getting her comfortable. Her kindness has been so appreciated. My daughter talks so much about Ms Taylor in her room, saying she helps her and listens to her all the time. This is my child’s first experience with camp and the attention and warmth she has been shown has helped her to have a great time and to fully participate in the experience.
I like how enthusiastic th counselors are. I love how they all know th kids names. They do fun projects with the kids.
The people who work there, the class instructors, the community feeling.

It is very organized and as parents we can meet the counselors, which I like. The kids have plenty of space to play in the yard and they like the themes and special activities.
