Member Testimonials
Lots of options
Cleanliness, sense of community, class offerings and good instructors
People. Facilities location equipment
I basically love my Y. But some things are getting shoddy. The gym floor is a mess. Makes playing pickleball difficult. We got new nets but it took at least a month. The senior teen room doesn't have a clock and the swimming pool rooms don't always have clocks either. Some of the cement is breaking away from the small pool and there is a small hole in the ceiling. In the cardio room one of the machines has handles where the materials are rotting away.
What I love is the people. The staff and my fellow Y members are wonderful. New activities are always being added. The music the teachers play in classes is amazing and fun and beautiful. The people at our Y are looking like family. Taste of Tai Chi, Chair Yoga, Senior Adaptive Exercise class and Water exercise class have made me feel graceful for the first time in my life.
I love the access to all the amenities that the YMCA has to offer. I am extremely pleased with the various exercises classes that are available which are not just targeted to one particular skill base. The instructors are friendly, courteous, patient, and kind which makes participating in the classes a little easier!
It's a nice gym with plenty of machines and weights to work out.
The classes especially Zumba.
The pool, friends I've made there, the Mahjongg that was started and hopefully continues in the fall, Yoga with Liz, Jackie's senior classes and the equipment. There is a lot I appreciate about the Y, including the staff.
I'd love to do more with the Y. I had talked to Lisa once about being on the board. I don't remember what that entails (it was pre Covid).
Thanks.
Polite staff, cleagood philosophy
Clean and friendly environment. Steambath is the reason I joined.
The variety of group classes and the front desk staff.
The variety of classes, young, elderly, disabled, The staff is not only helpful, but kind also.
It's a very safe and friendly place. Staff is so kind and helpful. I love it there.
I've always loved the YMCA. Our kids learned to swim there. We've all been members for years. Recently rejoined. I guess I'd say that I love most things about the Y, but wish there were more classes. I'm still getting used to the online sign up system, but it feels like by the time I want to sign up for a class, it's filled up!
To be honest, I've just been showing up at some of these classes anyway.
Also wish the women's steam room tile would be fixed. It doesn't seem like it would be hard to fix those broken tiles in there. They've been like that for years.
Otherwise, love the Y!!!
I enjoyed my experience very relaxing going to start another membership next month 😃
The pool, the members camaraderie and the staff.
Our Program Manager - Miss Yasmin and her team are fantastic (Forest Ave Aftercare Program).
Forest Avenue School in Verona YMCA staff are awesome!
I like that it's located at my child's school so she has a sense of continuity in her day. I also like the consistency of the staff whom she gets to know and develop relationships with throughout the year. I also really like the seamlessness with which my child can participate in other after school activities (enrichment courses, the play) without my having to worry how she's getting from one activity to the next.
Exceptional Facilities, maintenance and community programs. Truly outstanding and grateful. Thank you.
The staff is wonderful and my child really enjoys being there.
I love the great social atmosphere at the Y. There are people of all ages, colors, fitness levels, etc., and EVERYONE is equally accepted. It’s a great place to get a great workout.
They are friendly and responsible
The councilors are amazing. A lot
Of activities.
The team is great, they keep our kids active and engaged
I love that kids of various ages get to play together and learn from one another, whether it’s sports, drawing or imagination play. The younger kids obviously learn so much from the older kids, but it helps the older kids learn leadership and how to look out for the littles.
Gaudi is great
Everyone is caring and friendly.
The YMCA staff at our school, CHB, was nothing short of stellar. Ms. Heather and Mr. Parker are excellent coordinators and motivators for the staff and programming. My son loved aftercare and would beg me to let him stay later; he learned drumming, Zumba, how to play Uno, soccer skills, cooperative skills, and Gaga from the YMCA aftercare staff, all with patience and understanding. We feel so lucky that this option is available for our family and to the constant love and professionalism of the staff at CHB.

The members and staff are top tier!
