The facility is clean and not over-crowded! Location is also convenient to quick access and scheduled workouts.
The staff of the Southwest YMCA is excellent! I am a regular visitor to the Y. I go at 5:30AM most weekdays and the staff is always friendly and helpful. However, I will say that I think the cleanliness and upkeep of the Y could be better. Specifically the hand sanitizer in the main fitness center is often out. Most recently, it was almost two full weeks that it went without being filled. Also, the pump bottles of sanitizer for the machines are often broken. Overall, the fitness center is very dusty and not very clean.
The childcare is wonderful! (We love Miss Sharon) The employees at the front desk are always friendly and willing to answer any questions.

Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Bathrooms and workout areas are clean. Students are back at class and many use this location to work out, have athletic practice, etc. They are aware of their surroundings and fellow members. My husband is disabled and walks with a cane. The other day a student held the door for him even though he could have used the blue handicapped button. Just a nice gesture and we feel comfortable coming to this location. I'd like to take more advantage of the group exercise classes.

One consideration: please add more sitting bikes.!! Facility only has 2. If you were to evaluate usage of equipment? I’ve often seen two people using all of these sitting bikes at one time. This morning? One of two was being used. Sorta intimidating to be right next to one another. To contrast? The facility has many of the other equipment types (eg., elliptical, stair master, treadmill) and yet I’ve never seen them all being used.
Note my feedback is based on morning attendance (<8am). Not sure usage during day.

I am answering for my daughter with Down Syndrome.
This Y is close to my home in Westvale. I like different machines I can use to exercise. I like being out in the public.
The staff is friendly and helpful. People generally follow the posted rules, but there are a few members who have total disregard for others by talking on cell phones for extended periods, not wiping down machines or taking up two or three machines at a time. It would be helpful if a staff member is on site to avoid this.
