The place is always clean and the staff are very helpful. The pools are wonderful. I love playing pickleball at the y.

I love the community at the Downtown Y including staff, residents, and my fellow swimmers and workout partners. The facility may be a bit worn, but it's clean and always welcoming. The Y is a big player in our lives!

Trx sessions, egym, art classes, exercise resources, fabulous staff members, active older adult activities are great.
I love the Pilates class on Sunday morning!!! I think the environment is warm and welcoming.
Hey, first, please don't post this or any of my info on any public platforms. I'm not comfortable with that. I love this YMCA. There are so many positives ESPECIALLY Aurora. Give her a raise. There's also a very young man at the front desk (maybe 20 years old?) who is tall with dark curly hair and glasses. He is always so kind and respectful and helpful. Mary at the front desk is amazing too.
I believe there is a rule of no cell phones in the pool area/locker room area. Lately there have been a lot of men (mostly men!) who have been in the steam room or sauna with their phones out. They're not pointed at their lap or anything. They're aimed up and out a bit which makes me feel like they could be recording/taking pics/etc. It's super uncomfortable. I get wanting to listen to music or scroll a little but this makes me feel unsafe.

Yoga classes with Gyata and Bodhi are the best.
The Northwest Family Y in Baldwinsville is simply the best Y my wife and I have ever been members of. Personally I have been a member of the YMCA in Rome, NY, Poughkeepsie, NY, Rochester, NY and Clifton Park, NY, and they were all good as I love YMCA's above other fitness centers, but this Y is so much more. We love it. Possibly the only thing I do miss is a good Hot Tub. However, none of the other Y's I mentioned had a Lazy River! And that's the best ever for our grandchildren, when they visit from other cities. We Love our Northwest Family Y

Well it was open area to workout in. I also liked the treadmills in the egym area. Sort of a one two punch.
