What a great place for any age. I particulary like to see all the young people from the littlest athletes to the HS students. It's a safe place that promotes the best values. At near 79, I have made a number of gym "friends" who have become important parts of my life. and the staff is terriffic

The downtown YMCA is an older building and past directors have abandoned thier duties. This new directors and board members are on a great track and I feel good about going to this building again!! Great job staff. We appreciate you!!
People are friendly, the pool is clean
Close to my house, great staff, helpful and friendly, addition of the E/gym....shows effort to stay current with new technologies, a place where all are welcome. A lot of diversity and everyone respecting each pther. A welcome escape from the divisions in the country.

The entire facility is immaculate. The equipment is, as far as I know from other places, new and keep in great shape.
Everyone is happy whenever I've been at the Y. Sort of like you know everyone, even if you don't.
Simply put... The NW YMCA just makes you feel good!

Well run facility, egym is a great addition. Many groups to join something for everyone.
Suggestions: need more pickleball courts. Turn the one on the basketball court and you can fit 2 there. It’s a growing sport and needs room to expand. Also the cleaning has not been up to standards recently. Otherwise love this Y

Dedicated Staff
I love the location. The people there are been very nice to me and if I go early enough, I don’t have to wait for any machines to be used.

The good conditions of the equipment. The lookers are clean as well as the sauna room.
The greeter was very helpful. We usually go to the Northwest Y in Baldwinsville, and thought we would try this one, and she answered all of our questions.
The facility is nice, and well-kept. It's older than B'ville. It's also much quieter. (At least when we were there.)
I like that you can see outside while you exercise.
We didn't try the pool. But we will.
My only negatives are that there's no swivel machine (I don't recall the name of it) for twisting your waist, but that's not that big of a deal.
The other negative was that the first shower I tried did not have hot water at all. It was ice cold. The second one I tried was not consistent, going from hot to cold and the pressure kept changing.
But the third shower I tried was fine. I hope that maintenance can work on this issue, but I'm aware now.
Other than that, I really liked the quieter relaxed atmosphere, and it was easier to use each machine, with little or no waiting. (Maybe we hit it at a less busy time?)
The lobby was nice, and the coffee was good.
