Member Testimonials
I like the evening hours and I liked them getting an hour of ninja warrior time. The coaches were fun and caring.
YMCA programs and activities feel approachable. It’s a great opportunity for my family to try new things.
The soccer program is a friendly league that is good for starting players to learn and have fun with other new or veteran soccer players. It has taught my daughter much and she made some new friends along the way.
Family friendly, healthy lifestyle, great youth coaches.
We had a great soccer season for our kindergartener. His coach was kind, engaging, and taught functional skills.
The coaches are very nice and supportive. I love how volleyball is played to give all players a chance to play all different positions. Everyone is welcoming.
Friendly & fun!
Nice Y helpers/refs and coaches! Kids loved it!
Great coaches and refs at the games, very organized, able to use jerseys for multiple years
My daughter had so much fun with indoor soccer! Her coachs, coach Nate and coach Mary were great. Thank you guys so much!
We had a great experience! I liked that the focus was placed more on teamwork rather than just winning.
The diverse range of kids sports offerings is a major reason for our family choosing the YMCA for seasonal activities.
two thumbs up - Becky and the team of coaches were engaging, motivational and encouraging - great role models for 1st time runners. Would highly recommend this group of coaches and volunteers to anyone thinking about running as a means of getting your kids active.
It’s affordable and for a wide range of ages
Love the positive vibes, diversity, focus on fun and good sportsmanship
I love the caring people. I also like the team building that is implemented into their programs.
Really enjoy a psycho classes with Kathy on Tuesday and Thursday morning and with Kristen on Saturday morning the groups and the instructors are all a lot of fun. Nice to work out with a bunch of good people.
There is a big variety of activities to choose from.
Teamwork and the sportsmanship emphasis. At the Y, we are able to build a good foundation of skills and then practice them during games. The support and organizational skills of the sport directors are key to the coaches positive experiences.
I appreciate the emphasis on teamwork along with skills. The coaches are also kind and encouraging!
We had two really great coaches. They did a great job at teaching the kids fundamentals and sportsmanship. It also didn’t feel like the team was fueled by the parents like some of the other leagues, it was all about the kids having fun and learning how to play the sport. 10 out of 10 and can’t wait until next year.
Very well organized and very positive
We love that it is not high pressure. Skills are developed and players get better, but an emphasis is on teamwork and community. It is also nice to not have a super intense schedule.
The ease and communication.
I loved the communication from the coordinator. I sometimes find the YMCA lacking, but it did not find that from the sports coordinator. Very proactive and very responsive. My kid absolutely loved the trophy (soccer) and wasn’t expecting it. I think it’s nice that you can request one friend but don’t make a team of friends. It keeps things balanced and inclusive without the hyper competitive nature of other teams.
We love Becca! Great coaches. Lots of options. Affordable.
My daughter's YMCA Cross Country coaches are phenomenal; they coach the sport and for life! They make it fun.
Friendly, organized, supportive, positive
The soccer program for 5/6 year olds was great! I loved the organization.
