I love the sportsmanship, how the kids learn to be a part of a team, the management of competitive expectations, and the care the coaches have for each player.
Over the years that we've participated, we've certainly learned a lot about how to play and coach soccer. More importantly, we've made new friends along the way. Becca, Maggie and all of the staff do a wonderful job supporting coaches and players alike. Great programs, great staff, great friends! What could be better?
Had a wonderful first experience all around for our 3 year old in soccer.
Midlothian YMCA SOCCER has been our best experience not only as a parent to watch our child learn the sport but for us as coaches. This particular location is very organized with a lot of communication and details provided through Playerspace as well as individual emails. I have been part of other sports organizations and hands down YMCA has been the best. From uniforms, picture day, the player pledge, to games and practice ideas, YMCA definitely stands out and where will continue to be part of with our son.
Becca is the best ever!
Great culture, low-key way of letting kids explore different sports. Love that there are no week-day practices for younger ages.
Meet my expectations
Great staff, week organized!

My daughter really enjoys the basketball clinic at the Midlothian YMCA and a big part of it is due to Coach Rebecca Wenger. She’s great with the kids and has basketball knowledge. We tried the clinic at Shady Grove and it just was not the same experience.
I love that the programs all place values on sportsmanship and working as a team. I don't think the environment stresses student athletes out at all, which is so important when introducing kids to sports. My kids have learned so much and want to continue.
They facility is very nice, clean and offers many options. The staff are amazing!!
I love how it’s just people in the community that just want sports and fun for their kids. Such nice families and also ymca staff.
Very laid back atmosphere. No pressure and kids there to have fun. The tournament though should not combine the coed with only boy teams.
Great staff, good vibes, good kids
The programs at the YMCA are great. My boys love them and we love the diverse amount of programs offered.
The YMCA programs are an excellent way to give children exposure to new sports. Its an appropriate environment for playing and learning.

Wonderful staff!
Great community and the staff is very supportive and interactive
I like the consistency in times, the attentiveness of the coaching staff, and the relaxed nature for early learners.
The inclusivity.
much more organized this season and our coach was great!
It was very inclusive, with instruction on how to play your best, but an emphasis on being a good teammate and sportsmanship.
Everything, all the programs are great and my kids love being at the Y.
