Your Camp Staff was amazing! My grandson loved the entire thing
This was the first time our child has ever played sports, and I must admit I was sad when the Frosted Flakes season ended.
Becca runs an amazing facility and everyone involved was so outgoing and filled with life.
We will always recommend this location for youth sports and camps.
diversity, inclusion, team spirit, sportsmanship, not so focused on the competition aspect
Awesomeness
Current administrators are kind and communicative. The opportunity to play teams from other Y's adds a fun element to league play. (I also enjoy a bit of the travel to other Y's.) The end of season tourney is also a great idea.
Two suggestions: consider expanding the length of the season, either by starting up practices earlier or adding more games...or both!
Also, think about adding a year or two to the upper age limit. Young athletes who love soccer but may not be skilled enough to play for travel or school teams should be able to continue with the game. Helps with later bloomers.
My kids loved the spring break sports camp! My son also loved basketball camp! They had a blast while also learning
Clear communication to parents, my daughter had a great time at the basketball clinic and wants to do it again! Only drawback was that it wasn't offered at a much closer to home YMCA.
Programs are well run, and staff (especially Bekka at Midlo YMCA) is always on top of any issues or concerns.
very structured, amazing staff, amazing coaches, and positive environment. great place for kids to learn.
My boys have had a wonderful experience learning the sport in a safe and encouraging environment.
Becca and her staff do a great job putting programs together. Shep has had a blast playing soccer, and found out that basketball wasn't really this thing. Being able to volunteer as Shep's coach has been incredibly rewarding. He and I are looking forward to getting started this weekend with the new soccer season with so many returning faces. (Makes me feel like I've done at least moderately well as a coach!)
My kids learned a lot and had a lot of fun this basketball season. The atmosphere was very encouraging and inclusive of all players regardless of ability. The coaches were so kind and encouraging. It was a great season and we will definitely play in future YMCA sports leagues!
Positive, safe, fun environment!
The environment is safe, comfortable and inclusive.
Easy communication and great fields for soccer! Excellent team building.
We liked how all children were included. Such a friendly environment & my kids felt welcomed. Such a well run program, we enjoyed basketball very much.
They are well organized and the kids have a wonderful time.
I appreciate how well organized everything was and the clear communication that was provided. We were very happy with our experience this year!
I thought it was very well run and I appreciated all the great information. The people in charge, like Becca, were fantastic!

The coaches- youth soccer
Overall, I think the program was great and very well organized. We had an issue with my older son not having a coach who knew anything about soccer . I understand it was likely a last minute fill in, but it impacted their overall experience. She was also regularly late and didn't seem to have it together. We made the best of it, but it was disappointing. My younger son had a much better experience and overall, both boys enjoyed the season.
Thank you!

We liked that the program was very low-key and fair for our first-timer. Our son had participated in Soccer Shots at daycare a few years ago, but hadn't played on an organized team. This program was a great way for him to get familiar with the general rules and skills needed to determine if he'd want to continue playing. For his age group, we also liked that his practices were immediately before each game so that we didn't have to come twice a week.
