I purchased an e-bike form an out of state retailer. The bike was used, but ‘certified’ . The bike as delivered to me was unsafe. No brake pads, no retaining clip, no fluid in the reservoir. I took the bike to Trek Bike of Coconut Creek and explained the situation to their head technician, Vinny, I believe is his name. He went through the entire bike, explained all the issues related to needed repairs, and performed the work at a more than reasonable price. The bike is fixed; it is now safe and good working condition. It’s a pleasure to ride. Thanks Vinny and Trek Bike of Coconut Creek for your efforts to correct a very serious issue. I’m now a happy e-biker, and a future customer. Highly recommend them.

Good afternoon Trek Bikes of Florida,

My name is First name removed and I am an enthusiastic amateur cyclist and Trek fan! I would like to take this opportunity to bring to your attention how wonderful the entire staff at your Coconut Creek location has been to me and my family. We know them all by name.

Recently, I have purchased bicycles for every member of my family including but not limited to an Electra Ghost Rider, a Marlin 5 and an FX 5!

We love every bicycle!!

Here is what we love even more: riding in a group-ride with our local Trek Bike staff. The folks at Coconut Creek have organized Trek Sanctioned rides every other Tuesday ( MTB with Vinny) and Thursday (Road with Julia). These rides were advertised on the Trek website and in the store-front itself. My family and I have participated, made friends and look forward to these rides with great excitement and child like enthusiasm.

It is a direct result of these rides that I have purchased upgrades in the form of Bontrager Carbon wheels, Shoes, pedals, chain sets, helmets etc. the list goes on….

In fact, Vinny, the store manager and I were discussing a custom build: a Trek Emonda, Project 1 with a gold leaf frame! The works!!!

Sadly, however, it has come to my attention that Trek has abruptly pulled its support for our rides. As a result, the rides were dissolved…

It is my ardent belief that this decision harms our local cycling community… It was beginning to grow and gain a life of its own.
The unintended consequences of the absence of these organized group rides will serve to severely limit new riders (new customers) from a group-ride experience, diminish new Trek owners’ exposure to other bicycles and equipment/accessories in motion, and serves to alienate the “mom and pop” atmosphere of our beloved Trek Shop. We, the riders, are dismayed and disappointed.

I humbly submit the preceding in a hopeful effort that Trek will reconsider the decision to cancel the groups that my friends/staff at Trek Bicycles of Coconut Creek have cultivated and nurtured. Sadly, I may have to reconsider the custom build for the time being. As I have lost the venue to stretch the Emonda’s legs and show her off.
